  • I wanted to share thie reply with the Builders for some feedback and tips for what to do in a situation like this game. The key to Mechabellum seems to be learning counters more than anything else as a beginner.
Secondly, I want to share why I try to always fight it out till the bitter end. It's not over till it's over Builders!
Mechabellum is a really cool auto battler, mech fighting, strategy game. Each round, both players develop there board by unlocking new upgrades, units and technologies. Most games swing back and forth as each player scrambles to counter their opponent or take advantage of a weakness. The game is focused on PVP, but there is also a competent bot with good difficulty scaling.

I have never seen this game before. Although I come to you for Dominions content and the like, this is a pretty good change of pace too. Keep up the great work as always.

Weirdly, since it is also an auto battler, it has a scifi Dominions vibe. Maybe its Extra-LA. :P

@@BabelBuilder Hahaha It almost does have that feel. Dominions: Space Age interesting idea for a mod. I really like the rock, paper, scissors kind of gameplay this game has, simple yet detailed with new units or the upgrades and such, everything has its place and makes the difference as we have seen in this video. Again, great work I love your videos.

the missles were one thing, but his biggest mistake was that he placed down the snipers in front of the tarantulas and then never actually did anything with them. if you look at the sniper builds, they are full-on built to be assault marksmen, but he literally never gave them an upgrade. on top of that he made them the first thing to get shot at, they basically turned into chaff themselves for the tarantulas. that was a "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" game for him 100%
in regards to him missile spamming early on, the reason this worked so well for him was because you put yourself in a really good position to get missiled like that to begin with. you almost had good timing with the crawlers overtaking the tanks, but because they were so far forward, the missiles had insane value because it was getting procc'ed when your sledges and crawlers were entangled together, which killed everything. if you shift your entire army back a little like 4-5 tiles, it gives time for crawlers to run in front, and down the line when you get sledge range, itll be even better. that also sets you up for more front-line soaking with an initial wave of what could be fangs or crawlers, or potentially something super tanky like armored sabretooths.
but to get out of that situation you can either do one of three things: spam shields, put chaff or something tanky all the way in front to eat it (trying to overlap the missle bubbles so one group of crawlers would proc two missiles), or use missile interceptors

Obviously, in the beginning, you needed more and bigger balls.
