Count those seats again. This was a 3-4-3 configuration, not 3-3-3. Before the pandemic, BA 77W flying into or out of London Heathrow Airport had 3-3-3 configurations in economy class, but in 2020-2021 they refitted all their 777 aircraft to do 3-4-3. The armrests are much narrower and aisle space is more cramped. And they have those bloody entertainment boxes taking up space under the seat in front. I used to fly BA regularly before the refits. Since then I've started to pay the extra for premium economy on Virgin Atlantic instead. I still can't sleep sitting up, but at least Premium on Virgin Atlantic 787-9s is comfortable. The food is generally rubbish though.
Yep, I see it now. It's 3 X 4 X 3 :) With how short the flights are from the east coast, I struggled to get much sleep (in between the meals). In a couple of months, I'll have First Class on BA and Upper Class on VS videos coming :)
@@GenkisTravels Because we took off from JFK early in the morning, the breakfast was the main meal at the beginning of the flight, rather than the afterthought just before landing.
Looks like the right hand side of the aircraft is the better to sit on for views - would you say that in your experience?? Thanks for sharing. Hello from London - you probably flew over my house during your decent : - )
great review ! looks like nowadays BA only looks cool with their livery and aircraft type for transatlantic flights... sadly everything else has been given away to its rivals
I’ve usually encountered some turbulence, usually it’s not too bad. Funny enough, the worst turbulence I’ve experienced was inside the US. Lol thanks for watching!
What about LAX-LHR on the 777s? Do they have the same economy seat because I'm going to Doha this winter and I'm not sure if those 777s will have good economy seats because I do not like the old ones based on my research Edit: The flight to Doha will most likely be via London which is why I asked about BA's 777s lol
That’s hard to know so early on as they can switch out the 777. You won’t know until closer to the flight date (I usually check a couple of times in between).
@@GenkisTravelsI have a flight from IAH-DXB via LHR in November on British Airways and it’s scheduled for A380 will they switch it out? And also, Theres a 777-300 to London is there a possibility it may change?
I often wondered.. Do I blow up that life preserver as I go hurtling towards the ocean at 500 miles an hour or do I have to wait until I hit the water first? They need to explain these things better..
Yah sad really I flown with them 2019 on queen of sky 747, wasn’t great but was good to say lots of food . I was bit disappointed didn’t get to experience T5 cause wasn’t any gate available when we arrive . Thanks for sharing. Tell me something what’s difference between 77-300 and 777-200?. I hope u make your connection
I flew them last at around 2004 and the food was so much better. The 777-300ER has more range and is longer than the -200. The interiors are different I believe too.
If that dinner wasnt bad enough the breakfast looked absolutely disgusting, i would of thrown it back at them. Very poor from British Airways ive had better food on low cost carriers than what that looks like.
It certainly looked bad mate, I've travelled across the pond a few time but not for a while so not sure what the quality of is like on other carriers but it's got to be better than what British Airways served up, should be ashamed of themselves

Mate, this was one of the best videos I have ever watched. Cheers! This brings back so many good memories of New York.
Brings back great memories of my flight out of there 4 yrs ago on a BA 747 back to Heathrow and also having great views of Long Island👍
Glad it can bring back memories. :)
I'm first, very good video, continue like that :) !
Thank you! :)
Greetings, Im Moving to london heatrhow area next year. This video is very formal and comprehensively reviewd
Thank you! :)
Is there not a hot breakfast on BA longhaul!? Tui do not breakfasts on inbound flights and I loved them
Did do*
Not from what I've seen, maybe for longer flights? But I am not sure.
A great video. I liked all the commentary- especially about all the food :)
Thank you! :)
A wonderful flight report.
Thank you! :)
Great video
Thank you! :)
I’m taking this flight tomorrow 😊
Enjoy! :)

On Premium economy class they have 2-4-2, First class is 2-2-2.
I did this route leaving at 7:50am, and they served a lovely cooked breakfast.
Nice! Wished my breakfast had been better. Lol

Thank you going to London and France in April know what to expect food wise..lol..How was the turbulence during the trip?
Terrible lol it kept waking me up. There was turbulence for the majority of flight. Take some sleep aids :)
Great work
Thank you :)

I’m not sure since I haven’t sat on the other side during approach. Haha

Thank you! Sadly yes. I'm flying them in First Class in July, I am hoping for a better experience. lol
I never traveled to Europe before, is it always turbulence? i have bad anxiety as to why i keep all my trips from JFK to US and Carribean.
I’ve usually encountered some turbulence, usually it’s not too bad. Funny enough, the worst turbulence I’ve experienced was inside the US. Lol thanks for watching!
There's less turbulence over the ocean!
Great video. I flew that exact aircraft in sept in the club world suite..
Thank you! I’m looking forward to flying their First Class in July.
@@GenkisTravels ha jealous. Think I will need to wait until 2024 to tick that off the bucket list. Enjoy, are you going to do a review of it ?

@@GenkisTravels Do you think British Airways will send their A350s for the 8:50 PM flight once the A380s are retired?
@@RashadKhanAviation2023 There hasn't been word of when they're retiring the A380's, so not sure if that'll be the replacement.

is this the BA0182?
not sure if it is the 777-200ER or the 777-200 LGW
When I flew it, it was BA112. But the times are very close to BA0182
They take biometric identification in Heathrow airport for USA citizen ?
At the time, they didn’t. I’m not sure if they do now.
It could have been worse, have you flown AA?
Only in Business Class, they were just okay. I'm sure economy is terrible :D
I often wondered.. Do I blow up that life preserver as I go hurtling towards the ocean at 500 miles an hour or do I have to wait until I hit the water first? They need to explain these things better..
I believe you are to scream until you hit the water, then with the little breath you have left, theeeen you blow it up. :)
@@GenkisTravels : Oh ok, I wasn't sure of the protocol.. 🙂
Great video. How much does it cost to check a bag if you are basic economy. Is the checked baggage strict. Will they let you escape with 25KG.
Thank you!
The bag would be $70-$75 depending on if you pay beforehand. The max allowed is 23kg, so they might make you pay extra.

Thanks for sharing. What time did you arrive at the airport as I have never seen JFK so empty!

Cooler than delta
I just flew Delta to Australia...not sure if I agree anymore. haha :) Thanks for watching!
For what we pay for a flight ..... they may as well serve mcdonalds. Jesus I should of booked with Emirates
McDonalds is too classy. :D
Wendy's is best. Jesus is Lord.
It seems to be an Airbus 350, not Boeing B777, Thanks.
U didn't get a bread roll
Americans don't know how to queue, they'll learn it in London.
:))! In Central America, it’s worse from what I’ve seen. :)
I'm so sorry for the food you had to endure 🤢
Yeah it was unfortunate. I'm flying them in First in July, hopefully it's better then :D
BA Economy Class is the worst!
Yeah it's not great. I'm flying their First Class product in July, hopefully it's better. :D
20 minutes of complaining. Got it
