I feel you. My son is 7 now and I feel like it was just yesterday he was just learning to walk. Cherish these times! It flies by and before you know it kiddo is a second grader lol I miss those 6 month baby days. He was the happiest baby and now he’s got an attitude and thinks he knows everything 😅

Yup…kids seem to do a lot of that growing thing. Some outfits break my heart to have to put away so those ones go in a separate bin for memories.
Mine are 8&9 give their clothes to family friends kids need it. pictures are better. I just keep their first clothing and shoes. I don't keep their school stuff. Maybe on or two things that their proud of.
We hand them down to siblings or cousins

I'm 13 years older than my little brother, he's about to turn 4. I'm happy he is growing and getting better at things every day, but at the same time I miss seeing his first steps, hearing him babble before he could talk, the way he was fascinated by everything as a baby. Its a bittersweet feeling, and I'm excited to have kids of my own

Hey as an older brother myself cherish your time with him, do kids stuff with, play videos and let him in a few times. You want to make some times both of you never forget I've met so many people who are not close with their siblings but if lay down strong memories and keep in contact, they will be you best friend by the time you are both adults.

I grew up the same way, I have 2 sisters, 8 and 11 years younger than me respectively, I’m 31 now. I remember being your age and neither of them needed me to reach things from the top of the fridge for them anymore, I was so heartbroken but now that they’re older, it’s so amazing getting to see the people they’ve grown up to be, and who they’ll become. You’re in for an awesome ride.

There's a 17 year gap between my youngest brother and I. Straight up cried when I realized he's gunna be 4 soon and has grown so much. Watching back on baby videos of him certainly doesn't help 🥲

I was the first one to go into the NICU to see her after she was born preemie at 3.5lbs as my mom was in recovery from emergency c-section. Most of her growing up years we were close and at the same time not simply because I had my own marriage and household to worry about and didn't have a lot of spare time, but any time she was sick or hurt or just not feeling good, the only thing that she said would make her feel better was her sissy. Fast forward to today, she will be 20 in less than a month. We are closer than any best friend I have ever had. We even live together and basically any1 that comes into our lives learns fairly quickly that we are a package deal. Even with the age gap I dont think I ever have or ever will be as close to any1 as I am with her.
I'm like that with my little sister, theres an 11 year gap between us, she's 10 now and she's almost my height (5'1) I'm in friggin tears, she's supposed to be tiny still! Not fitting in clothes I wore at 14-16. It's bullshit😭😭

This is hilarious. I remember buying clothes for my now 8yr old thinking the same thing. There's just NO WAY and then *poof* it fits.
When my one friend had her baby, she didn't fit in any of the newborn clothes, she was over ten pounds, I can't remember her length (height?) But she was wearing stuff for 3mo olds!
Same for my ten year old. Esspecially since she loves wearing my clothes for comfort on stressful days. Two years ago a sweater I made was loose on her and she needed to roll up the arms (tight fitting for me) now it's like just a baggy sweater.
I hope this dad sticks around for Jack all his life. 💝
