Dan, we read labels here in America as well. A lot of our food from companies here poison us with chemicals. We try to buy organic, natural products like the nuts you are buying in this video. Sometimes we miss one here or there in the ingredients, but we keep trying. Growing your own organic food is the best way to avoid others controlling your health. Blessings my lovely Russian friends!!
Yes I am in New Hampshire the Organic items are diminishing day by day- there are so many many products I cant find that are organic - like for ex. But the average income is much lower in Russia than in the USA, so you have to look at their prices as a percentage of their disposable income. I think that's why Dan identifies many things that he says are too expensive.
Actually, the cost of goods and services in Russia are relative to Russia's AVERAGE national income. The average national income in Russia is 1,240,000 RUB, which equals $14,000 in the USA. By comparison, the average annual income in the USA is $59,000 (5,200,000.00 RUB). So, when Dan calls out "cheap" prices in Russian stores, those prices "seem" to be a bargain by the USA's average annual income standards. By Russian economic standards, the prices are relatively expensive. The reality is that a $14,000 equivalent income in Russia doesn't go that far. So, that seemingly cheap $5.00 bottle of Russian liquor is similar to purchasing a $20.00 bottle of cheap liquor in the USA. In other words, all that glitters is not gold. °°°

Thank you Dan for showing us your Russian grocery store. Thank you too for the healthy, wise choices you make and showing us to be better shoppers. Love from the USA.
Dan, your English has improved! The word "chemical" is pronounced "kemikul." The store is the "biggest" store (not the "most biggest"). I like when you say some things in Russian, so that we can learn your language.
Hello from Cincinnati Ohio!! The grocery store you showed us is comparable to our stores called Costco and Sam’s Club. They sell a lot of items in bulk. Your prices seem comparable to ours or even a little less. It’s interesting seeing how a lot of things in your country are like ours. We are all alike ! Love to you and your family ❤
Such an informative video. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into life in Russia. It looks from this video that everything is available for consumers and plentiful.
I’ve been following you and your wife Dan for a couple years now, and when you three had to move, and showing us different neighborhoods, etc. As a Canadian, and I look at the prices of the items in the store from my perspective, they’re actually good. When you explain everything is based on, what you make it can actually be expensive and unaffordable. I know one video you were talking about apartment prices and again I’m like wow compared to what we have to pay in Canada. I say to my wife maybe when we retire live in Russia. Just incredible. The difference.
GMOs in almost everything in the US. Cat and dog food here is bad. Feed human food to them at least once a day. Salmon or chicken for cats, boiled, no seasoning of course.
the store looks bountiful, with clean wide aisles, and well-merchandised. the lighting too looks contemporary along with the skylights. Sati is blessed w/ good parents mindful of her health and future.
Found this very interesting about Russian food Its such a big store Your English is very good Say Hi to Suzie and Sati Cheers from Linda in Australia 😊
I really enjoyed going shopping with you. I’m surprised the prices seem less than ours. Haven’t seen you for some time. Your English has really improved. thank you for sharing from Maryland USA. We do a lot of puzzles. Would share them with your Susie. Take care 🎉❤ The glass jars are called jars The tin items are cans. Barilla macaroni is good. I like that brand.
I’m not sure if it’s the same, but looks to me as if this might be a version of the French hyper market chain Auchan, which I remember from when I lived in France, the branches in the Paris area (I lived in Paris) were normally huge - cheap basic stuff, food and non-food items. Your videos are always very interesting. PS/ I’m from the UK.
No Dan we have to read the ingredients for all of the products we buy and a good rule if it’s in a package it’s probably not good for you, the good foods are the ones not in packages. Also another tip is that good unpackaged foods are on the outer aisles around the grocery store the Center aisles are the places with all the packaged and processed foods. So we usually just walk the outer perimeter of the grocery store and shop for our produce, our fresh meat, our dairy products and then that’s it we stay away from packaged foods. We try to buy our produce in season because it’s cheaper but you can buy all kinds of produce year round now but that wasn’t always the case. But with imports from the USA and Mexico there are a lot of fresh fruit that comes year round. I very much enjoyed this video. God bless! 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁I think the exact same thing as you and I won’t use the checkouts where I have to do it myself I want to keep peoples jobs it’s the same here.
The last thing you were talking about is important. We are all humans and should be able to live in peace together as brothers and sisters no matter what nationality of skin-color. Thank you for your video.
I’m so glad to know that there is another human being on earth that sees us all the same way. Brother and sisters. Love from the US.

Thank you for sharing, I never buy plastic and do not shop big box stores, I liked the natural broom you showed
Wow! It's a huge grocery store. It sells everything...not just food. 😳 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 We would call that a Department Store....Like our Walmart here in Canada. Groceries & everything else. You are right Dan....Certain people want to keep people divided...when most people want to stay united. 👍👏😊
Just ran in to you again. I love your outlook on life. Missed wife and cute little girl in this video. That store was like WalMart here in USA. God bless you and your family. 🙏😘💕
Your energy is awesome & infectious. Thank you Mr Dan.
Totally agree with you Dan, much love ✌️
God bless you and your family my friend ❤
Wow, that store was massive! Yes, the prices are much cheaper there compared to the US. Those sock/shoes you were trying to figure out are water shoes for a lake, beach, or even public showers. Thanks for showing us this store.
Your English is getting better to understand with your accent. I have watched you from the beginning. Interesting video. Be safe.
I too avoid the SELF - CHECK-OUT.
I line up for a cashier. Machines don't have to pay bills and rent, and groceries, unlike people. 😊
The best Philippines rice is the one with the ROOSTER on it, it is Scented Jasmine Rice the only rice we buy in 18kg bag for around $40.00 on average.
Food quality for dogs and cats is becoming an issue in the USA as well.
That's why many are making homemade food for their pets; it saves a lot on the veterinary bills!!
GMOs in almost everything in the US. Cat and dog food here is bad. Feed human food to them at least once a day. Salmon or chicken for cats, boiled, no seasoning of course.
We used to buy chicken backs for the dog, buteven now they are so expensive!
My sister switched her cats to a raw meat only diet and their health has improved 100%. It’s been amazing to see.
This items for sale in this store reminds me of the stuff sold at the Dollar Stores and Flea Market.
❤️ Love your message of unity.Love❤from the USA to Russia❤❤❤
Stay safe Dan, you are right we don't watch TV, I haven't for 8 years!! God Bless you Suzi, Sati and the new Baby boy!! ❤
the store looks bountiful, with clean wide aisles, and well-merchandised. the lighting too looks contemporary along with the skylights. Sati is blessed w/ good parents mindful of her health and future.
We use reverse osmosis water in our house. Thank you for showing us your grocery and housewares store. I enjoy your videos❤
You and your family stay safe as well
Love your content! Your family is wonderful.
Your English is spot on, thanks for showing us this Russian super market, very impressive. We have this
just as big in Texas.
The people are not the government...love you and your beautiful family...we are all connected!
Found this very interesting about Russian food Its such a big store Your English is very good Say Hi to Suzie and Sati Cheers from Linda in Australia 😊
I love love watching your videos. That store is huge kind of like our walmart here in usa. I hope we can always be long distant friends 😊
Blessing to you and your family❤️❤️❤️hugs from Canada
I really enjoyed going shopping with you. I’m surprised the prices seem less than ours. Haven’t seen you for some time. Your English has really improved. thank you for sharing from Maryland USA. We do a lot of puzzles. Would share them with your Susie. Take care 🎉❤ The glass jars are called jars The tin items are cans. Barilla macaroni is good. I like that brand.
Wonderful video Dan. Thanks for the blessings. I agree; God Bless us all.
Interesting to see the various calibers of frying pans. 🤣 Sending love to your little family from California.

I'm with Suzy. I love puzzles. The more challenging the better.
You are an adorable. You are a good soul. May God bless you. Thank you good spirit.
The last thing you were talking about is important. We are all humans and should be able to live in peace together as brothers and sisters no matter what nationality of skin-color. Thank you for your video.
