    As a crocheter, I thought I'd never be able to knit... Having the yarn in the right hand just felt so wrong. Thanks for showing that it's ok to be lefty! Fantastic videos, you have saved my knitting life!

    Love your videos! I'm a crocheter, too, and was about to give up on trying to learn to knit until I watched your demonstration. You de-mystified the difference between knitted and purl stitches, and helped me to see that I was executing the purl stitch wrong, which inverted my stitches. Thanks so much for giving me the confidence to pick up my knitting needles again (and try holding the yarn in my left hand!) and give knitting another try.

    You are adorable. Thank you for the fabulously helpful lessons. Oddly enough I am hsving to learn again as through surgery and,a lack of oxygen I lost some of my long term memory. Your videos are so upbeat and positive, you are truly a blessing to me.

    I'm up hiding away in the mountains this week and decided to learn to knit. I think I have watched every one of your videos becuase you take a very boring topic (watching someone knit rows is like watching paint dry) but you make it so FUN and not boring and I so appreciate you. I've watched a few other knitters videos and almost fell asleep. Your instruction is so easy to follow and your personality shines through every video and sometimes I even laugh out loud. Thank you so much!! I have made my first scarf which is coming in handy on this snowy mountain day. Keep them coming!!! Love your videos!!!

    For those wondering, the pattern is STILL free. Follow the directions. Use the code she mentions that can be found in the video description.
    On that note... What cast on did you use for the hat? It is not mentioned in the written pattern. It looks like standard long tail, but wanted to make sure. Thanks! 🤗

    Chandi, beginner everything here. 2 questions.1) I have a large head. My son's is even bigger. No hat ever fits me. They usually slide right off. So for that, how many do I knit? The same 20 or 24 or more? 2) How do you connect the ribbing to the hat? In your tutorial, you knit the ribbing flat. But in the hat tutorial its round. Also, in the hat you mentioned, knit 2 all the way around. Does that mean, (laymans term now) knit 2, knit 2, knit 2 all the way around ? Or knit only 2 together, then knit, purl, knit, purl, knit, purl? Am I reducing fast or slow? Sorry, that's 3 questions. But I'm just a beginner. Thx in advance.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  7 лет назад

      People's stitches vary. So I say measure the circumference of the head and take two inches off. Then use however many stitches it takes to make that length. The ribbing is a part of the pattern. which you can find on my site. www.expressionfiberarts.com. It means knit two together all the way around. : )
