Very well done. I have been using the FG for several years and with only one (my fault) failure. Bad part was it happened to be my wife's rod and what we believe to have been a large cobia. OUCH! Now I take 3 wraps around my hands to sinch them.
Now I’ve gotta try your tips on tying the FG knot in my kayak! I’ve got a closeup version that I recorded over your shoulder but I like this perspective, too! I’m digging the reading glasses!! Join the club! 😂
It's a great knot, just doesn't go through the guides as well as I like. Same as uni to uni. I've had great success with both, but the FG tops them for me for going through the rod even onto the reel when I'm running an excessively long leader!
That's the easiest way I've seen that knot done entirely. Thank you for this.
Glad to help!
Great tip Mr Funk! I really like the FG! Keep up the great videos sir! ❤️👍👍
Thank you! Definitely my favorite for what I do!!!

Awe man! Hate that happened and know full well how it feels to mess up your bride! I'd rather lose fish any day than cost her one!

That little loop around the reel makes all the difference for sure!!!! And yes'm, them reading glasses are MANDATORY 😉😁
I just tie the modified albright I learned on flats class RUclips and call it a day.
