I took delivery on your best overall Samsung gas range this Thursday, without looking at any ratings at all. We agree totally. It is great, looks impressive, loving the convection oven (no need for an air fryer!), can't wait to use the proofing feature...it is everything I wanted in a range. We have a Samsung refrigerator/ freezer and have always been pleased with the quality, needing only 1 repair in over 6 years, and otherwise flawless.
I owned one of these in my old house in Wisconsin. I always found that the gas was turned on by it’s mechanism before the igniter got hot enough - and I ALWAYS smelled gas at the beginning of each oven use. For the record - it was “repaired by a Samsung technician - didn’t change a thing though.
I recently got the Bosch HGI8046UC gas range and after using the oven a couple of times we encountered a serious design flow, and perhaps other slide in ranges too. In addition to the vents on the top(which goes back all the way against the back wall, there are vent openings in the back side also, a few inches below from the top. So while using the oven, the heat is exiting from both the places. The back side is flushed against the wall and there are no tiles there. It is just a dry wall. So the heat from both the vents are heating up the dry wall as well as the tiles. It is heating up the back wall to the point that I cannot even touch it. I cannot imagine it will not damage the wall down the road. I contacted Bosch and they are saying it is perfectly normal. Since all the slide in ranges goes all the way to the back wall these days, I am wondering if others have noticed this issue.
You can't lead people to believe they can just plug in an electric range. It requires 220 service which most don't have unless they have it specially installed.
5:10 QUESTION: Does automatic flame reignition preclude use of the range/oven during a power outage, or does an outage simply prevent the feature from helping ? I strongly prefer the latter.
Samsung is the worst choice. You smell gas and cooking is not accurate. I also has Samsung French door refrigerator and that was also horrible. You can google the issues with freezing up and see RUclips videos and class action. I went with Viking professional brand for $4K and very happy with the quality. I am sorry but you don't need a wifi connection on your stove, those gadgets will break. The only thing you need is a timer and common sense.
Agreed. Samsung cares about looks, the inside, however, is garbage. Samsung gives you endless features at the expense of performance and quality. Stay away, even better, run!
TRDsupra98 I’ve heard their kitchen appliances are really hit or miss, especially with long term reliability. They just don’t last a long time, unfortunately
We've had a Samsung French door refrigerator /bottom drawer freezer for over 6 years. It has required one repair, and that was reasonably priced. It's why I chose a Samsung range. We've been very pleased.
Put function BEFORE visual design appeal ...Check out the cost of replacing that Samsung oven cook panel if it were to go wrong.... approx $500.... then you have labor costs on top... Stay simple and cook on a PROVEN stove... Do your due diligence and research any model you're interested in for common faults and failures and the customer service of the shop and manufacturer... a high level of complaints with the manufacturer of a fault MIGHT finally be recognized as a 'design flaw'... seek these out before purchase.
No, both the cooktop and oven are powered by gas. Dual fuel is when the cooktop is gas and the oven is electric. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching, please subscribe if you haven't already!
@@DesignerAppliances will do! Is this common in America? Over here it's common to have a gas powered stove but an electric oven. Do you have such cookers too?
@@noclickbaitrecipes7565 Yes it is very common in the US. We just refer to it as "dual fuel". Many brands offer dual fuel as an option, or all gas, or all-electric :-)
Do any of the new gas ranges have the ability to light the oven via a lighter, when the power is out? I hate my new oven. When power would go out. We used to heat our home with the oven door open. Lighting the oven via a long match or long lighter. Now we have no heat source in case of an emergency. These new stupid ignitors suck.
Most modern stove ovens go out when the power is off . I think they use a glowbar to ignite the oven and an electronic controller ( not sure what it's called) which controls the oven temperature and keeps it consistent. I had a range like that ( Frigidaire) but decided to dump it after a few years because I had to keep changing the part which ignited and controlled the oven temperature. I have since bought a cheaper generic range and although it doesn't have those fancy features, it works well.
We have a previous generation wolf 36” gas range and are able to light that with a lighter/match when the power goes out. I can’t comment on the current generation but Wolf’s gas ranges tend to focus on simplicity and durability over fancy features. We’ve had ours for almost 15 years and have only had to make a service call twice.
I disagree we had that first one was not impressed. The nobs for the burners are cheaply made & in fact had to call fire department to have it pulled out & shut off when one burner pinched & would not shut off
I had to call gas company when I smelled gas a few times after turning Samsung gas range on. Employee from the gas company told me oven regulator it's a big problem with Samsung ranges. I had oven regulator replaced and still have same problem. I'm now busy reading reviews and going to retail stores looking to buy another stove after 3 years of having a Samsung range. Also two different techs that came to my house on two different days both told me Samsung ranges aren't any good usually because of oven regulator.
As the owner of a four year old Samsung higher end gas range, I would not recommend a Samsung appliance. Mine doesn’t work and is rusting out. No help from Samsung. Four years on a major appliance? Sad.
Everything we have except range hood is LG, in the kitchen. 5 years now, no problems. Just changed from their electric range to gas because gas is better and a friend was in need of an electric one.

The #3 GE oven gets smashed all over the internet. I will pass on that one.

How it is holding up after one year? I am in the market, but seems like Samsung has lot of horror stories with their stoves.
@@shkhamd very, very well. We love it. And our Samsung refrigerator is still going great with no issues at 8 years. I think you will like it .

Is the igniter not a spark? That should be instant... I know Samsung is crap, but having to wait for anything to warm up seems silly.
how is Viking not on this list???

Yes we have too. Regret buying this. Could have bought Samsung or other brands for half the price.
Hi where can i buy your products /appliances in South Africa?
As an appliance tech I’m loving this. So many new flashy features soon to Be broken.
Be a nice appliance tech and tell us which range you get most calls on.
I can see you rubbing your sweaty hands together at the thought of all... that... money!!! 🤲🤑😂
I wish I could get one. Because in Suriname they very expensive and never saw them before. I really like it 😘😘😘
OMGoodness! Most of these cost an arm and a leg. And I need mine. 😮
Great, it deserves a 4k version.

How can I order some parts of my gaz stove with model no. Rinnai 602-E. Thanks if you will reply me.
I like the # 7 stove
I would like to know how much ?
Thank you 🙏
👍❤️❤️❤️

Samsung appliances are garbage in the long run, parts are outrageously expensive

samsung not the bes lots of problems. glad I was told not to buy.
Yes it does. Fridges freaking beautiful but gives a lot problems. True
Where's Hestan? It should be right there with Thermador, if not better.
We definitely recommend Hestan - they're on our best grills list! blog.designerappliances.com/best-professional-gas-grills/
If Samsung is on anyone’s list I know your review dips fraudulent
Right? Mentioning a Samsung anything with Wolf is laughable at best.

Gas range cooktops and gas ovens combined are preferred, but not necessarily.
Boshe is the best
