Awesome work Ryan. You are the Muhammad Ali of brick layers! I'm a retired bricklayer and I miss working and being productive...not much though 😕 I see that you are very busy and it's because you are very good at what you do!
You ask us to comment, but can we ask questions? 1. You mention in numerous videos 3,4, 9 on your tape. What kind of tape measure do you use and how are you reading it? 2. Can you talk more about what your line is attached to? Can you walk us through setting this up? You did briefly once, but maybe my ignorance on the tape is why i couldn't grasp 3. How many rows before you put your brick ties in that lock it to the house? I didn't see it happen at all here
From Montreal Quebec, good explanation by the repetition, not too much talking only the essentials. I have a 60 bricks job under my second floor balcony to do because i'm an old cheap bastard who don't want to pay 2000$. I practiced this afternoon, 30% of the mortar fall on the ground, 50% in the holes of the brick and 20% was on the brick 😀I'll keep practicing instead of doing a mess in the front on the house with the neighbors, the walkers and the inspectors watching ! A bit paranoiac here.... anyway Thank You for the cool tutorial !👍
Great job Ryan, love watching you. You make it look so easy. I always wanted to be a brick layer. But always had to do something else to make a living, you know provide for family. And now I'm old and not able to do the work. But I still continue to work around the house and use some of your methods to make my projects work out. Keep up the good work. Thanks ken
Pretty nice work over all but it looked like you were getting a little off bond when you were hitting the closure. Pretty common though when you're laying queens on 3/4 though I reckon.
Love the way he spreads the mortar without dropping or wasting any!!👏🏼
Martar
The rhythm and the timing when you spreading and laying down the bricks is so consistent and perfect. And that makes it faster when laying bricks .

Always a great teacher 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing craftsmanship… well done.
Absolute perfection! Can we see some more on mixing mortar? I find that to be the hard part.
Thank you for posting and sharing Ryan, I appreciate your channel!
