Do you know the offset of your rims? Are they stock offset? I think stock offset is 5+2. The rims I'm looking at are 2+5. I don't want it to wear the front end out, make a super hard to steer. But that seems to be what's most affordable and available

Here's a few things you need to really wake that thing up. Empire full exhaust with power commander V programmer and Vforce john tunes. That'll get you the engine power you need and cool the exhaust down from the known lean condition these run from the factory. Then Vforce John or From the Ground Up Powersports machined clutching to gain some top speed and responsiveness. Top it off with some Powermadd Sentinel handguards and you'll be set.

Seriously considering a brute force. Want a big twin but don’t have a lot of faith in Can-Am or Polaris. Obviously the 750 is the biggest Kawi makes. Would you say that you’ve ever been a situation where you’ve lacked power? Interested to hear back from you, I’m wanting to pull the trigger soon.

I’ve run a Brute Force 750 in And around Ouray Colorado, up to 12000 feet. I always had all of the power I could ask for.
We had 550 and 650 cc ATVs and 1000 cc Honda Pioneers.
The BF 750 had the best hp/weight ratio of the lot, and the fuel injected engine ran like a top.

What do you do about the heat off the exhaust? I'm about ready to mount a small fan blowing on it to keep my leg cool.

I don't really notice it til summertime and wearing shorts. But when it gets too hot I wear jeans and wrap my leg in foil. Just kidding about the foil...
