    I just got the Japanese straightener, it’s amazing!! My Afro is bone straight out of the shower now and dries smooth, and it’s not damaged or dry at all! I don’t understand what more people don’t do it.
    Have you both looked into this?

    • @twolala1
      @twolala1  5 лет назад +7

      Amby We’ve heard of the Japanese straightening system but it’s more permanent than keratin and since we already get a permanent processing by way of relaxers, it probably won’t be ideal for us. Keratin isn’t something we look to for straight hair, just strengthening the straight hair from relaxing :)

    • @Amby-Amby
      @Amby-Amby 5 лет назад +2

      TwoLaLa I have about six inches of relaxed ends and he just avoided putting the product on the ends. I highly recommended it for you two, it uses this instead of sodium hydroxide, you can have the treatment applied to your new growth your relaxed hair won’t be touched. Look into it girlies!!
      I love your content 😊

      Amby I really want to get Japanese hair straightening, but when i look in my area (chicago), i only see the stylists doing more wavy to looser curled hair. My hair is like a 3c/4a and i’m scared that if I go to one of these salons, they’ll mess it up because they don’t know how to deal with my type of hair. Are you in the midwest, and if so, can you recommend me to a salon because I’d honestly travel a good 2 hours or so to get this done by someone who knows what they’re doing.

    • @Candicedickinsonllc

      i think more people like the going between straight and fro rather than just straight ? it’s just a preference but those straighteners look pretty cool if you are going for a straight look

    Hey ladies, I normally relax my hair. I decided to have a keratin treatment 8 weeks ago. Most of my length is the regular relaxer, which I was cutting off incrementally while I adjusted to my natural hair. My problem is I don’t like the way my hair looks. It’s puffy and kinky again in the area that was virgin hair before I had keratin, along with a 1/4” of new growth. It appears that the keratin treatment wore off to some extent. I would like to relax my hair again. Do you think it’s safe to do a relaxer?

    Hello Twins thank you both for taking time to give information on relaxed hair!!! I have a, question. I have started to stretch my relaxer and I got to week 9 with the advice about products, moisturizing, Aphogee Protein treatment once a month, using satin wraps, ect( I'd been doing this prior) my question is if I'm doing all the steps for taking care of my hair BUT around week 6 I start getting more breakage/shedding how do I train my hair to stretch for a longer period of time

    • @twolala1
      @twolala1  5 лет назад +4

      Go ahead and get another relaxer put in if you see shedding and breakage. On the next go round, try to go longer. You may have to be stuck at week 6 for the next try, but the one after that, see if you can stretch. Your hair just needs to be trained. Hair vitamins are great and even collagen is helping me too. It didn’t happen overnight for us either.

    Hey Ladies! After years of wearing my hair in weaves I decided to get a keratin treatment. My natural hair is doing well but my desired look is for my hair to be alot straighter. How long should I wait to get it relaxed? Also once i start relaxing how often do i get the keratin treatment on? Do i get it relaxed every 3 months and the keratin every 6. I’m a little confused with the timescale of when i can put the treatment on relaxed hair, can i get it relaxed then the treatment 2/3weeks later? So sorry for the long comment, this is all new to me.

    • @twolala1
      @twolala1  4 года назад +2

      Leesa *** Hey! I’d wait about 1-2 months to get a relaxer. That way the keratin is still strong in your hair. Once you start relaxing, you can put a keratin in every 6 months (that’s usually how long they last of you can take care of it. For some people it only last for 3 months but I try to extend mine to 6 months). Let us know how it goes!!!
