More nice under the trees greenery ... But surely the things around the waterfall gave it away as being related to the shrine (obviously you should have had Victor stand under the waterfall!)
Would I drive that far to see a shrine ... No but that's because I don't drive 😜 ... Would I happily travel with someone else to do so ... Yes. But on the other hand would I travel between major cities by bullet train just so I could go have lunch ... Have done so ... So we've established that I'm not wholly normal already 🤪🤪🤪

I didn't comment when this initially dropped, but I'm going to comment now. This is easily one of my favorite videos that you've done. I can't put my finger on why exactly. Maybe the ephemeral beauty and joy of seeing fireflies bobbing in the dark. The rugged forest scenery with towering trees shrouding everything in shades of green. The dreary yet appropriate weather adding that perfect touch of hushed mystery. The shrine itself bedecked in mosses and standing stately and forlorn at the top of the stairs. Or maybe all of it combined. Might just be that I'm utterly enamored of Shinto and the shrines. Definitely tickled my sense for adventure and love of hunting out little lost nooks and crannies.

@@TokyoLens I would definitely be willing to drive all the way to the locations of all the videos in season 3 so far. They are amazing, especially the apocalyptic look of Dorai. This place looks a bit like Okunoin Cemetery in Wakayama

What an absolutely stunning shine. Yes that’s absolutely worth the drive! I’m partial to the atmosphere of calm Japanese forests, so I may be biased, but even if it’s a bit of a hike, you experienced something truly unique and beautiful.

Top of the mountain is the very powerful energy spot and the shrine is where you channel with the energy. I felt very strong energy coming down when you guys show the tall Japanese cedar trees after the pigeon on the roof. Very good video!!

Yay!! more stairs!! You guys are going to have nice calves after this!
Another wonderful and beautiful discovery. I was amazed that they looked to be maintained and not abandoned like many other places around Japan.

I remember all the stairs I took when I went to Japan last time 😂 Great video as always, I think it was totally worth the drive to see something outside of the normal sightseeing spots!
