Glad you enjoyed it. I had put off building it a couple year cause I thought it would flip over. But not a problem they way I did it. I’m making a video now on building the roller slide.
@@BayouDad I bet! I am currently building one myself. Though mine is from a treehouse to a swingset and i think i am only going to have the 2 cables for the path and one cable above for a safety line
Cables across two objects like 2 trees exert leverage force midspan. That's why suspension bridges have counter cables on the opposite side of the tree solidly attached into concrete.
That’s a good observation. These are cypress trees and are very strong. Not sure how I would put concrete anchor in lake. It would also put more stress on that beam.
Awsome thanks for sharing! just what i was looking for. Couple questions if you have the time. How long and how big are your lag bolts goin into the tree? And also when your putting your rope did you measure each time when conecting to each board or did you just pull until tight?
I think the bolts should go into the tree about 4”. Probably 1/2 or 3/4. You will need pilot hole smaller than than bolt. I measured the rope and made a few in advance because I had to burn the ends so wouldn’t unravel. But the poor quality rope I used deteriorated by the sun. Now I have to redo them. I just pulled each one tight as I could and tied the knot. Ropes were pre cut. Hope this helps.
Really enjoyed your video! Thank you 🙏

Super cool bridge!
Thanks. It was a challenge to figure out.
