So crazy to me that SpaceX had absolutely no idea how the launch site was to look. Where is the planning? I know they are ok with just shooting from the hip and then tearing up everything years down the road when it proves to not work, but man you would think if they put in a little more time planning they could avoid these destruction and redesign periods. Great content.
EVERYTHING is iterative design. Remember, this was supposed to be a Falcon 9 site not one for Starship
Also remember that while constructing the OLM legs they were still developing the design for the Launch Tower - none of it was complete. Everything changes rapidly behind the scenes

It was said that it would take "months" of updates to get S32 the same as S31. What those updates be, exactly?

S32 will never fly unless something happens with either S30 or S31
