  • National Geographic VR takes you inside the International Animal Rescue sanctuary in the forests of Borneo to see what it takes to teach a baby orangutan… to be an orangutan. Here a dedicated team of vets teaches these orphans everything they’ll need to know to one day head out on their own… back into the wild.

    By far the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time! I’m obsessed with baby orangutans 🦧 to see them up close while climbing in their natural habitat is really special.

    These beautiful people dedicating a huge part of their life to help these amazing orangutangs. Those poor babies. Every time I see so many of them being carted off in a wheelbarrow makes me cry because I know that each one of them had a mother that was more than likely butchered to capture the baby.

  • @robpeters5204
    @robpeters5204 6 лет назад +7

    It breaks my heart to see each little orphan here because I know that it's mother was hacked to death or shot and killed. The tears are running down my face and I can't stop crying because I feel for these little fur babies. I'm not a religious person but I can only find some peace in knowing that there are caring people there that are looking out for them and helping them to survive and to be places into a sanctuary where they can be in their natural element. Thank you to all of the helping surrogate humans teaching and loving these natural wonders.

    Woa, I didn’t know it was 360 at first. I was thinking someone made a mistake because I was seeing the side of a wall forever. Very cool!
    So sad such an amazing creature is so close to extinction because of human destruction!

      When the little orangutans are on their "school bus" you can see the camera's shadow if you point to the ground. The camera is mounted on a stick of some sort.

    •  7 лет назад

      I was amazed because every 360 video I have watched has some weird shadow or distortion on the bottom, but this one has pretty much none!
