    Great to be able to finally see a video on your gun Les! It is a fantastic project and I look forward to getting mine finished. Thanks for sharing your talent. PS. You mention videos on the other 3 guns you built....where are those videos available?

    Hi Les, your 4th Air rifle came out out really well, a thing of great beauty and master engineering, I think it may outperform off-the-shelf air rifles from Crossman and other manufacturers. Amazing considering the basic materials you have used to build it. Thanks for the interesting video

    Wow great job!!!! I know several people who rebuild old air guns and they use Marvel Mystery oil in their guns and you can get a pint of it for around five dollars and it will last a lifetime. Thanks for the video

    Very interesting project. Did you base your first rifle off a commercial design or did you just sketch something out and make a lot of changes along the way?

    Great builds... If you add the words 'home made' or 'how to make' to your video title it would get alot more views 👍

    Seems like youtube deleted your other airgun videos

    I have seen your other videos on the air rifles as well as the build along pistol videos. I'm sure youtube put you up to removing them but is there any other way to view these videos again?

    • @LeslieProper
      @LeslieProper  Год назад +1

      Yes, they made me take them down and it would be time consuming to try and replace them. If you are interested in the plans for the pistol I could email them to you, but there are no written instructions just drawings.

      I have not made any new air rifles for a couple of years. My latest interest is miniature 4-stroke IC engines.

    Thing is when it comes to air tanks of these guns you dont need more air volume than it fits into a barrel.Think of it as a cylinder volume ,and those are easy to calculate, www.omnicalculator.com/math/cylinder-volume .You can put a little bit extra but anything more than that is just a waist.
    You can change dimensions of the tank to fit the volume of the barrel.

    • @DoNotPushHere
      @DoNotPushHere Год назад

      That is assuming you are giving priority to zero waste, but in reality you could choose to have 10 times the barrel volume, so by the time the projectile is leaving the muzzle, the pressure is still pushing it at 9/10ths of the breech pressure ;)

    Hi Les, I got a notice you were back. I see the videos of the previous air guns are gone. Did you do that or did you tube do it. I never did get back to my air gun. I haven't been going out to my shop much. I still have all the parts I made. If I wanted to return I would have to remake a lot of it.
    With all the BS going on in the world you would think I would get out in the shop more. Not happening. I think if I ordered a piece of 3/8 tubing I might get the incentive. Love your' rifle. You really did a great job there.

      The complete plans and building instructions were published in a series of articles in Machinist's Workshop magazine starting with the Dec.2019-Jan.2020 issue. This would be the best way to go. If you have no way to obtain these back issues send me your email and I can send you some basic drawings of the rifle. lesproper@gmail.com
