Hello colleague! I'm happy for you that things are starting up again. You've stayed true to yourself. Wonderful still images, appropriate sound and a kind of "music". I like it very much. Of course I'm also interested in the sound generator/synthesizer used. I'm still struggling with starting. I haven't quite found my balance yet. But I haven't given up. All the best, Jens
I'm very happy to receive a message from you, Jens. I hope you are doing well ( as well as possible ) and you will find back your motivation, soon. Summer is always a very bad time for me to make videos. It's still too hot, everything has dried out and it is too noisy due to the tourist's in that time. But now most of them have left, the temperatures are down to 20° - 25°C and we also had some days of rain. Nature finds it's way back and we are in the middle of the migratory season so we can see many birds and insects now. I use different instruments and tools to create music. I have several hardware synth's from Arturia, ASM, Vermona, Korg and one from Behringer and a bunch of software instruments, effects, compressors, limiters and mastering tools from Arturia. But for my recordings I always only use two of them because I found out that a limited choice is boosting the creativity. I also use recorded natural sounds that I cut into small pieces, slow them down or speed them up and modify them with different sound effects like delays, reverbs or granular synthesis. My software is Ableton and all the mixing and mastering is happening in my DAW. But I can say that nowadays everything can be done with an old laptop, a small midi keyboard and simple music software. The audio quality is now extremely high and the tools are super easy to use. But because I am a true lover of good minimalistic electronic music and analog synthesizers I love to work with hardware instruments. Sorry for my long answer but I thought it would give you a good overview of how I work. I hope to see and hear something new from you in the near future. All the best.
