I have a pair of unmodified ek skirts for my DA but my shell is relatively clean and i never wanted to pierce into my rocker area lol they do look great though. I used to have a mk3 vw golf and im actually running the stock golf lip flipped upside down and it bolts right up to the oem lip.
You didn’t cut anymore of the skirt that goes into the door jam? I actually have the skirts right now and working on them but cut about an inch off on the front side of the door jam and about 2 inches off the back side for the door jam. Haven’t screwed it in yet but it felt like my door wasn’t closing all the way without me cutting it
I did not, but i did run into the same problem. I just close the door harder lol. After time I might see where the door makes contact on the skirt and cut the sections off. Thanks for the feedback.
I haven't really gotten into yet but my plan is to take them off and hit the areas with the gaps with a heat gun and see if I can get the skirts to mold to the body a bit better
Nicely

Wish I could keep my da unfortunately going out for sale in cali
LS rims car looks great 👍
I closed my gap with a bead of black urethane. Heat will warp the plastic and you'll have to repaint to cover the damage.
Did u ever figure out how to close the gap
