Mower won't start? How I fixed my Briggs & Stratton

In this video I am going to show you how to fix Briggs & Stratton engine Yard Machines MTD mover. I just got this from Home Depot and when I try to start it I was not able to. After removing all the covers and air filter I found the problem. It was the small plastic part that was attached to the carburetor. It was not letting primer to push air into the carburetor. I am guessing it is coming off due to vibration.

My carb won't prime and the white fitting like you show in your video is pressed all the way in. Air comes out of the fitting while priming. I have to hold a finger over the fitting while pressing the primer bulb and then the mower will start on the first pull.

Still won't run, it will fire with cab cleaner or some other alternative fuel, gas is fresh carb bowl has fuel no obstruction from tank, someone threw it out, I've been working on engines for 40 years and can't figure this one out.
