I absolutely understand this problem, although it hasn't affected me much personally. Yes, I care what other people think, but I've always just made things and hoped other people liked them as much as I do. I've seen good stuff from talented people get ignored and pure sewage become popular, so I find it's just better to do what makes you happy.
True dat. I do admit that I have a bit of a "shrewd businessman" streak to me that does believe that you should invest a healthy chunk of the creative process in researching what your ideal audience wants to see (in addition to what you yourself want to create), but it shouldn't be something that dictates your every move to the point of detriment.
@@agentjuicecartoons I guess it depends upon what your goal is. I'm not trying to be a famous artist or to have a massive RUclips audience. I just want to make things and hopefully other people with like them.

It's true. I mean, I'd like to get better at my art, but I'm at the point where I just create whatever I want. Really want to focus on animation more than anything and get better at it. Concerning Wuya now, I met someone who's girl is Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo and drew her (and myself as a Playboy bunnies with my man 🐙ward ) for a livestream I'm doing with him tonight and now I can't stop thinking of Wuya being inspired by Ryoko and Washu. Also the chick from the Owl House resembles Ryoko too. So each time I see Wuya I won't be able to not think about Ryoko Hakubi. 🤣
Good to hear! Yeah, animation is its own can of worms. Probably the hardest visual artform to learn. Also, now that you mention it I do see a bit of resemblance between Wuya and Ryoko. I haven't seen Tenchi Muyo in decades so I don't have much of an idea of how their personalities align, though.
