- So I picked up this rug from a lady who contacted me asking me if I wanted it for charity. Her cats had peed on it and puked on it in fact. They threw it outside in the dirt for a period of months. In which time It looks like something moved in and tried to live in here.
The rug will be cleaned and given to an animal rehoming centre.

Its so frustrating, as an animal rescuer, when the babies we rescue do their business on stuff that they’re not supposed to! But its just them being animals trying to live in a human world.

part of that could be because cat pee can mess with dye if left to sit. lots of ammonia.

Imagine a rug so thoroughly soaked with cat piss that contact with water causes it to foam. Amazing job on this one!
I'm just starting the video and I'm just hoping he uses a type of cleaner that actually works on cat piss. I know you tend to need a orange scent and special cleaners to truly be rid of the stench and to get it clean again. Like, doesn't glow under a black light clean. But I love rug cleaning videos

@@darkroseofshadow I also worried about the insect eggs , they also be no joke. Some species' eggs will just embed in the fibers and hatch layer unless treated with the right chemical.
That’s not how cat pee works. They probably only peed on it once. It’s mainly the puke that happens.
I was gonna say, usually dogs pee on rugs. Cats not so much. 😊
I like how you clean the floor between rinses, not a lot of people do that and it always bothers me when they don't 😊

Just found these videos and I absolutely love them. I have a sensory processing disorder and havent found any asmr that doesnt make me wanna stab out my eardrums until now! Sooo oddly satisfying. Ive used these vids to help my insomnia as well and it definitely works. Plus the work is mesmerizing and the results are amazing. Thanks so so much for these!! 😌✨
TRY LOFI ASMR!! ITS A TYPE OF ASMR WITHOUT A PROFESSIONAL MIC. IT USUALLY SOUNDS SOFTER AND IS ALOT MORE SOOTHING TO MY EARS
My kids and I have SPD too and Audio ASMR videos hurt my ears and teeth so bad- but visual oddly satisfying videos are awesome.
I have misophonia and a lot of the ASMR stuff with talking and eating make me want to implode so finding ones that are just like this are amazing
I haven’t been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder (although I do think I have it or autism as I have most of the symptoms but anyways) all other asmr videos make me want to claw my skin off or my punch myself in the face repeatedly so these vids are also really relaxing for me
I normally hate ASMR videos as well.

I cannot imagine why people would allow such a beautiful rug to become a litter box for cats. Great job cleaning it. I would definitely put it in my home (after you've cleaned it :D )
It happens when cats get old/sick, often without the owners knowing until the rug starts to become foul from odor. My poor childhood cat had mobility issues and eventually incontinence at the end of her life. We didn’t know she had destroyed a shag rug until it started to smell foul. Since we had multiple cats, we didn’t know she wasn’t going pee in the litter box but would still muster the strength to poop in it. She really was a wonderful cat. It just happens and a can be a part of owning animals.
That's just how it is with pets sometimes. My childhood home was bare floorboards for a few months because when my grandmother died, we took in one of her very elderly dogs and he peed everywhere until he passed away too. Peeing or pooping indoors (for dogs) and outside the litterbox (for cats) can also be a sign of stress in general.
@@bewilderbeastie8899 Cats peeing in bathtubs (specifically bathtubs) can be a sign of a urinary infection (I know you never mentioned bathtubs, but it's important to note)

So many others were pleased with the new camera angles but I didn’t want to say anything negative. Turns out that new angle triggered some motion sickness for me, and I was fast forwarding through one of the most satisfying parts of your video! Slowing it all down (as well as your continued use of those overhead wide shots) is just *chef’s kiss*. Thanks for that adjustment and for all the great shorts and long form videos!

As an animal foster parent, I tip my hat to you. Cat pee smells horrid sometimes. Luckily, I rarely get incontinent cats and dogs. You are brave for the attempt alone! Then that worm.... OMG. You are amazing♥️

He gets them from dumps and people's yards, then donates them to charity after they're cleaned. The ad revenue pays for all the expenses. A couple cleaners do this.

There is something oddly hypnotic and mesmerizing about watching this process. Kind of like a Zamboni cleaning ice- you can't take you eyes off it.
This one was indeed a grandiose labor. The entire rug was a pigsty, make-shift litterbox, and a cat infirmary. As the action commenced, the expected dirt was being stirred away. Then, you evicted a python-sized, disgusting, oligochaete! I know you've dispatched plenty of wildlife from rugs in past episodes, but this behemoth surprised the hell out of me. The extra steps to fluff the deep pile proved itself well. Someone will enjoy this rug, and yet have no idea what it took to render it usable again. Once again my hat is off to you and the selfless civic generosity you bring to the masses. Enjoy the weekend, get some rest, stay safe. Cheers!

I really like that you focused on the edges! I know we want to get the whole carpet cleaned. But I watched a few of these and they all do great 😅jobs but sometimes don’t go to to edge to scrub. You really worked hard to get this back to it’s color. Beautifully done. I have 5 dogs and always need carpets done! Any recommendations? Would totally love!!

I have a cat that for some reason stopped using her litterbox and had started peeing on our rugs or any towels on the floor; we have a carpet cleaner machine and cleaned the areas immediately but there is still a lingering stank we can't get rid of. I can't imagine this rug smells any sort of okay after sitting around for that long soaked in the stuff and probably would have been better off burned, so kudos to you guys for putting up with what I know is probably one of the worst smells in the world and cleaning this thing. Seriously, that is some dedication.
