Not necessarily you can print images to paper and use the press the cricut is a vinyl cutter where you can customize your own designs to be heat pressed.

I'm 100% sure I should be starting with a swing heat press like you, but chile I saw this mint green one (and hot pink) clamshell heat press by Star Craft and just caved LOL. Plus it matches the aesthetic in my new apartment and it's one of my favorite colors. I'll deal with it lol

Just ordered mines I literally just ordered everything my printer and my heat press I already had my circuit for like 2 years I have gave up cause i circuit didn’t accept the images I got frustrated but my cousin told me to put vector so I do that I wish it was other ways to do it as well

I have an 8n1 like your 5n1. How do you adjust the top lever. Mine is all the way down where I can't get anything under it to press. Have searched for answers & no luck.
You should have a knob either on top or in the back of your heatpress. If you look closely at her video, you'll see the knob on top
