I just wanted to know if anyone has done what I plan to do with this hair dye. I'm a natural brunette, but I've been dyeing my hair ginger since almost 2 years. The last time I dyed was two months ago, but now I want to dye it darker (to resemble my natural hair color) but at the same time I wanted to also add a little bit of color and I also bought a box of this product (but the one that is for darker hair since I'm going to dye it darker). So my question is.... does this product dry you hair horrible? and also how many weeks you think I should leave in between from dyeing it darker to actually doing the ombre? I've been watching videos but none of the girls say if they dye their hair darker or if it is their natural color. If anyone can please answer me I would really appreciated it!!!!!

Hey, so this is the color I was looking for really. I dyed my hair last year, but it didn't catch on cause i have jet black hair. However, it is lighter than it used to be. I don't want to bleach my hair, so can i do this without bleaching?

yeah :) its a very easy to achieve at home, no touch ups, and looks very sunkissed :) its awesome for brunnetes who want a hint of blond in their hair :)

My hair is the same colour your is (before the ombre) but, it's natural, and i'm not sure what kit to buy, this one looks great on you, but I'm so afraid it's gonna turn out super orange... :((((
I loved how it turned out and I want to try it. But i don't know if this will work for me, I have natural black hair and I tried to lighten it with a light ash blonde but I didn't like the results so I dyed black again (but just in the roots). My hair looks black even with that light ash blonde at the ends :/. Should I try this one at the ends? Did you dye your hair before? Please I need an answer because I don't want to ruin my hair :(
Yeah, I think you should give it a go. Just make sure to constantly check it. and remove it when your satisfied. It may also take a couple of tries so don't get frustrated if it doesn't turn out at the first try. It depends on the hair. I had died my hair a medium brown before hand. Let me know if you give it a try I would love to see the results :)

Thank you :) I did random parts and I would recommend you leave some out so its looks more natural and the blond has better contrast with the pieces that you didn't do.
Your video was really helpful! And your hair is beautiful. I have soft black hair, what color would you say I should use with this kit? I do not want a blonde look, but more of a caramel brown/subtle look, close to how yours turned out. I would appreciate your help!
Thanks :) Im glad you found it helpful :) perhaps, the same one because it gave me a lighter brown on the ends. but, you can also use the lighter shade, and just leave it for less time. Or you can even use a platinum blond hair color and do the same. just make sure to constantly check it and ad more highlight as you go. So its not just one shade of light brown on the ends. because as you add more highlights as time passes the hair absorbs the dye at different times giving you a gradual light brown. hope that helped :) thanks for watching and have an awesome day :)
U dyed ur hair before doing the ombre.. But what if I don't want to dye them n just do the ombre? Which shade shud I then use to get d brown shade that u got? I have black hair.

I dyed (Clairol Natural instincts) it in a medium brown but it faded into this awesome brown. :)

Hi I read some of the reviews and some of the users said it damaged their hair tremendously!! Specially the ends! What about you? Did it damaged your hair a lot? What if I mix 1 tea spoon of the bleach instead of the whole packet? Plz suggest. I have really healthy and shiny straight black hair. High lighted once and it was horrible! Took me 2 years to get back my natural healthy hair!

I tried this, same thing as you did. Only some hair turned brown-ish. The rest is my natural hair Color. What did I do wrong? My hair looks.. Ugh 😩🔫
Hi i did it following your method and it came out pretty good! i think splitting it into three is smart. i also combed it through the roots to start and then recombed it a little higher the second time to blend more. i turned the brush verticle at a few points to pull through in smaller little lines from the top and then just kept combing it through and it really fades well that way!
It looks great--very natural. I would never have guessed from the box's picture, which looks cheap and super fake.
Hey. Just watching this video has actually convinced me that I can do the ombre myself. I just wanted to know though, was your original hair color before the ombre like almost black or was it a light brown? Cuz I can't tell with the lighting. You usually have to waIt 20 minutes bUt she didn't use tin foil so it dIdn't process fast

best tutorial for diy ombre hair! I did it the other day and it was good. I left it for 45 mins straight, no gap for topping up.

Hi Kathy, my hair was died previously. I used the Clairol natural insticts medium brown and was really dark when I first died it, but then it faded to this color(which I preffer). yeah you should definitely try it out I really enjoyed this hair because it wasn't tooo blond :)

Very nice, the first view of your hair in this video is so beautiful. But you are right about the lighting for the rest of the video is very yellow so can't see the highlights very well. Did you keep the ombre look or did you redye them your natural color? I am going to try this using the Frost & Design by Loreal. Wish me luck!! I am scared! ;) Will do just a small piece first of course.

Indhira Chan That is NOT "dye" it is BLEACH! Bleach lightens...not darkens. People really need to understand wtf they are doing b4 messing with that kind of stuff! Too many variables. I really don't get why people do these "tutorials" when they don't have a clue what they're doing in the first place. Its like the blind leading the blind.

Will the 070 make my hair hair more blonde? or 060? I have dark hair but I don't want it super blonde
I think that the darker the "base" color of your hair is, the less blonde it will be, so i would pick the 070, but if you get either one you should check after 20-25 minutes to see what color your hair is.

Your hair is pretty dark but you used the box for medium hair I was wondering why you made that choice and do you think it's better then the box for dark hair. It looks amazing btw I'm really considering doing this.
HI :) I got this box because I wanted something subtle and didn't want it to be too blond. It depends how you want your hair. I am not a professional. But, if you use the one for darker hair and want a subtle ombre you can just leave it less time. Thanks for watching and have a beautiful day.

how long did the product last?
I've used this product and did it during summer so like June or August, it is January and it still is lasting but it's not as vibrant as before. I wash my hair a lot, so of course it's fading. Lasts a long time tho =)
CharlieWuvs What are you talking about? "Fading"? Hair COLOR fades, not really bleach. It may not be as bright, but you don't lose the "color" that bleach gives you. It has to be recolored, rebleached, or cut. It doesn't go away or fade like COLOR does.
