And Eminem never wanted any smoke with Chino XL. And this is a fact that can be proven. In XXL magazine there was an article with Chino XL, that was less than a page long, but that little piece of the page had enough room for Chino XL to say that he too felt that Eminem got inspired by Chino XL tape from back in the day. And Eminem Who is like mr. XXL himself never even responded. Not even in a whisper.. he don't want no smoke.
I can't find a single reason why Em and Chino should have made a diss track or battled. I mean, they had a song together on King tech and Saw album This or That.
Agreed Chino XL has more punchlines than Eminem! Also Eminem ripped off Esham too, and Esham is so underrated and slept on and no credit was given or even a shoutout...Eminem pretty much took it and ran away with it.

Our great lyricist Chino XL the creator of many lyrical masterpieces like "Here to save you all " and "Poison Pen" made his transition recently. His lyricism will be forever remembered in Hip-Hop Culture 🕊️🕊️🕊️💯💯💯
Eminem also bit the horrorcore style of I.C.P. , Cage , R.A. The Rugged Man , Twiztid and Esham when he developed his "Slim Shady" persona . The multi layered rhyming style Eminem used , though , is straight from the likes of Kool G Rap , Big Daddy Kane , Masta Ace , Treach , Rakim and Red Man .

I’ve loved Chino XL since 1996 when I was 13 almost 14 years old and while Em def gets inspiration from Chino XL imo it’s 1000% unfair to say he “ripped off” or was “biting” Chino XL. Redman did the same thing. Eminem takes from a lot of great emcees from Redman, Chino XL, Canibus, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, MastaAce, Treach from Naughty by Nature, to name a few. Saying “Eminem (at his best) is not close to Chino XL” is simply false and I’m a big Chino XL fan but Eminem from a technical skill perspective is as ill as anyone ever and Chino XL (and many other all time great emcees from underground and mainstream legends from 40 years ago to now) agrees with me. Chino’s metaphors are better (although sometimes he relies on them too much and again I love Chino), but Eminem multi syllabic rhymes, internal rhymes, best storytelling tracks, wit, flows etc at his best are as good or better then Chino (especially his rhyme patterns). It’s ok you don’t like Em (and I’m first to admit post 02/03 he’s very inconsistent musically) claiming he bit off some of those trash Detroit rappers you named. Royce, Elzhi, Eminem from Detroit are as ill as anyone ever. Big L, Big Pun, Treach, G-Rap, Rakim, Kane, Royce, Crooked, Joell Ortiz, Elzhi, Black Thought, Ransom, RJ Payne, Tonedeff, Diabolic, Brother Ali, Masta Ace, Ras Kass, Lord Finesse, TechN9ne, AZ, Nas, JayZ, Lloyd Banks, KRS, Jada, Method Man, Redman, Del, Kendrick, Mickey Factz, Elzhi, Locksmith, Lupe, Andre3000, AesopRock, Apathy, Common, Pharoahe Monch and many others all agree with me and have said in print or video “Eminem is one of the GOAT lyricists.” I love “Here to Save you All”, but also love SSEP/SSLP/MMLP/TES/8mile Eminem. Also love Chino’s 2001 album & his 2012 double album is 🔥! The track you mention “The Anthem” is great and Eminem, ChinoXL, Pharoahe, & Kool G Rap all kill it while they sound nothing alike. No one killed anyone. I do agree Chino XL is slept on but I disagree “Eminem completely bit him” bc Eminem took about 5% from 20 diff great emcees or more and incorporated it into his style.
Forgot to mention Cambatta, Nino Bless, Possessed of Rhyme Asylum, Lowkey, Percee-P, who are both incredible emcees and love Em as a lyricist. Saying he ripped off ICP & Kid Rock is 🤣🤣🤣
@@superdopehiphop Yeah I was tring to give credit to this theory but at some point it became a joke... It's like Em stole every fkin rapper style ever which tbh would kinda make him the biggest genius ever. Biting so many people is a fking feat. But I agree that Em' kinda lack "personnality" as a rapper (I kinda feel all he wants to do is rhyme) and that he needed to be inspired. Then again so what ? He's still the one who wrote these perfectly rhymed and witty songs like "The real slim shady" or "without me".
This guy is spewing pure bullshit when it come to smilie using literally device and poetic device’s Double and triple entendre’s that fits in the theme do you say Eminem sounded just like chino is crazy
Em is no doubt influenced by Chino, Kool G rap, Az, Nas, Rakim, etc etc.. But I can't say he has stolen their style. You are clearly giving a wrong impression by using the term Ripped off or stolen. Em has given credits to Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane. Also, I guess EM's style is more like a cross between Redman and Twista. He was influenced by Run DMC, LL, KRS, Treach, Kool Moe Dee, Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane and these rappers love Eminem beside this fact that Em's style is similar to them. Still, It doesn't mean that he has stolen the style.
Please don't assume that 99%of people don't know who Chino XL is. Yes we know who Chino XL is. We would not be on your video if we didn't know who he was. Of course I guess a lot of Eminem's stands would be on this video just to talk shit not knowing what they're talking about LOL. But Chino the lyrical assassin definitely was ripped off by Eminem. That's obvious to anyone who knows Hip Hop. For you to say that he did not would be like saying the battle rapper Dizaster didn't rip Eminem off.
MrTantamount I remember when the group Jurassic 5 got into it with Eminem, and they called him a fake ass Chino XL LOL. I'm not taking anything away from Eminem. He is one hell of a Lyricist, even though his flow is directionless sometimes. There is no doubt that he is one of the great Lyricist. But, Chino XL is Chino XL. And there is only one.
Also Eminem is a hypocrite . He criticized Trump , yet , he himself is a racist . He's so fake . It's sad to see all these mainstream legends like Red Man defend Eminem . I guess all they care about is money .
Ever since early 2000s I've been saying Eminem ripped off chino xl and cage mainly. But noone ever learnt who either of them are still to this day. Sad indeed
I love them both but I agree. I know many fangirls (stans) are gonna be mad as fuck about this and call Chino XL "irrelevant" because he's underground despite the fact that he spits lava. Chino was rapping like that since 1992 on his Art of Origin tracks. He's much better in every possible way. He even makes better albums but Eminem is still one of my favorite emcees. Don't reply if you don't like Chino or think that irrelevant means mainstream.
Eminem is 45 Chino XL is 44 same generation same word play. I personally think Chino XL is better when it comes to real s*** Eminem's more of a gimmick.
Being in the same generation doesn't apply here. If that were the case Em's first joint in 96 would have been like the rest of his albums. Ironically Em's shock rap comes into play 3 years AFTER Chino started that sub-genre.......🤔
As a person who started listening English-language hip-hop with Eminem in 2000 and later discovering more than 10 years later, its very easy to notice, even though we don't have an evidence that it was definitely Chino that inspired Em to adapt that style. Chino XL mentioned it in one interview and even implies to it in his song Nahh. While Eminem fucked with Britney Spears, gay icons and whitewashed (no pun intended) rhymers like Cage, Everlast or Fred Durst, Chino XL did it to the genre legend/God Tupac among others. I like Eminem's music, I'm just telling the truth.
Cage and Everlast ( when he was in House Of Pain and when he was associated with Ice-T's "Rhyme Syndicate" even before that in the late 80's and early 90's ) were dope . Otherwise I agree with you .
@@MrTantamount it's may fault, but I've never heard anything of Cage and yes Everlast was dope, the whole HOP catalogue is dope. Will the *Real* Slim Shady, please stand up... There were two emcees, one was rapping in a high pitched voice, about murderous rampages, legit suicide attempts, lewed sex acts, legit drug abuse/addiction, and physical abuse issues with his stepfather. After his mother convinced a judge he had mutliple personality, he was sent to a psych ward for a two week evaluation...but kept for two years. The other emcee rapped like AZ and Nas on an album called The Infinite...his name was Eminem. After copying the previously mentioned members of The Firm, Marshall Mathers a.k.a Eminem, jacked the style and subject matter of NYC underground emcee, Cage Kennylz...and created Slim Shady. He became a cartoon gimmick of Chris Palkos real life, and became a superstar through shock rap, and dressing up like a woman from time to time. While he is extremely talented, he tends to make very corny music...rapping about kissing boys and putting gerbils up his ass comes to mind. After blowing up, he completely shunned the underground and signed 50 Cent and G-Unit. Obviously he knew a rapper that had been shot 9 times, would be a great selling point for all his white suburban fan boys. He had 3 albums that sold an insane amount, and a hit movie, why not shine some light on emcees that respresented more of where he was coming from, rather than guys that were just more of the same? Yes, G-Unit made a lot of money and probably made Em feel tough when he chilled with them...but what about the superior lyricism that Em posses? Why didnt he want to bring up top notch lyricists? Why did he not work with any white emcees from 1998 to 2011, especially the ones that were tearing up the underground before, during, and after his rise? My guess to all of it, is insecurity. Lets talk about his beefs, cool? He and Cage took a couple shots back and forth, nothing real serious...of course Cage had the truth on his side. He beefed with Everlast and made a diss that contained 17 bars referring to a heart attack, 9 from Em alone...real creative. Then he dissed Evidence, even though he wasnt even on the song, Ear Drums Pop. Evidence hit him with Searching for Bobby Fisher, to no response. K-Rino, Last Emperor, and Pacewon dissed Em to no response. Diabolic also took multiple unanswered shots at him. He beefed with Canibus, and put out on of the corniest disses in hip hop history, Canibitch. Bis had the much harder diss, sorry Stans. He beefed with Limp Bizkit...as if Fred Durst was a legit emcee 😅 And cant forget Mariah Carey, he dissed her mad good, but wouldnt face off with Nick Cannon 😅. He merked C level rapper, and career music maker for 13yr old girls, Ja Rule...congratulations. He dissed magazine editor/owner Benzino, as if that was impressive. Cant forget the two clowns he dissed, cause theyre not absolute trash 😅 He also dissed other celebrities and popstars, that had no chance of responding. He shit all over mumble rappers (which i appreciate), as if they had a chance. Then we get to MGK, another popstar for 13 yr old girls. What a list, do you see a pattern here? How about the fact that a guy who made a career out of mocking others, shut down Weird Al on his video for Couch Potato (Lose Yourself spoof)...claiming, it would damage his persona, oh the irony 😅😅😅. Stansexuals think that Em is this all time great, and invincible battler. That he has never lost a battle, thats just not true. He lost the Rap Olympics to Otherwize, and he lost to both Rhymefest and MC Juice at Scribble Jam '97. Can anyone name a competition he actually won? Em was notorious for using writtens during his battles. Dose One gave Em props on his rhymes after they battled, Em gave Dose his demo. On the demo, was Em rapping the bars he had just used in the rounds against Dose. I'd also like to point out, that just two years later, at Scribble Jam 1999...a 17yr old Eyedea, won the tournament...just sayin'. A documented childhood of constant relocation, breeds a mimicking personality out of a need to be accepted...and thats Em

"Infinite" dropped in November of 1996 . "Here To Save You All" came out before that in April of 1996 . Chino signed a developmental record deal in 1990 as a part of the duo "Art Of Origin" . The other member of the group was Kerri "Kaos" Chandler . They split up as a group in mid-1992 . Kerri Chandler is now an electronic music producer . Eminem made a few poor audio quality self-recorded songs in 1988 and 1989 . Chino signed a deal when he was 15 or 16 . They have been in the game for about the same time . Since 1988 . Chino was using the unique style he invented on Art Of Origin's first single from 1991 . Eminem wouldn't invoke that style until the first half of 1997 when he was preparing for that year's Scribble Jam . In a fairly recent interview with "The Murder Master Music Show" Eminem's hip hop mentor Champ Town said that Proof ( Rest In Paradise ) impressed him more lyrically ( than Uncle Marshall did ) between the years of 1989 and 1996 . And that Eminem also copied a lot of what he ( Champ Town ) , Proof , Awesome Dre and Esham were doing . Champ Town also named Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth , Twista and Bone Thugs as big influences on Eminem .

Chino xl moved to California from New Jersey
I thought Chino was born in California and then moved to New Jersey when he was in elementary school . He talks about it on the song "What Am I?" from his debut album .
Right . Yeah . He was born in New York City . I thought he lived in NYC then moved out to California when he was about 4 years old and then moved to New Jersey when he was in elementary school . Like when he was in 5th grade .
@@MrTantamount He was born in the bronx, moved to NJ, then moved to cali because east coast wasn't rocking with him. I know you cover this but just saying.
If Chino had ever did an Eminem diss he would have killed Uncle Marshall lyrically .

Agreed Chino XL has more punchlines than Eminem! Also Eminem ripped off Esham too, and Esham is so underrated and slept on and no credit was given or even a shoutout...Eminem pretty much took it and ran away with it.

Big L, Big Pun, Treach,
G-Rap, Rakim, Kane, Royce, Crooked,
Joell Ortiz, Elzhi, Black Thought, Ransom, RJ Payne, Tonedeff, Diabolic, Brother Ali, Masta Ace, Ras Kass, Lord Finesse, TechN9ne, AZ, Nas, JayZ, Lloyd Banks, KRS, Jada, Method Man, Redman, Del, Kendrick, Mickey Factz, Elzhi, Locksmith, Lupe, Andre3000, AesopRock, Apathy, Common, Pharoahe Monch and many others all agree with me and have said in print or video “Eminem is one of the GOAT lyricists.”
I love “Here to Save you All”, but also love SSEP/SSLP/MMLP/TES/8mile Eminem.
Saying he ripped off ICP & Kid Rock is
🤣🤣🤣
Chino BODIED The Anthem. Wasn't even close... Among everyone there, his verse was the illest.
@@haiasieel6099 disagree. It was extremely close between Chino, G-Rap, & Eminem. Pharoahe Monch too.

Chino XL is , sadly , not that well known . Especially nowadays . Eminem totally ripped off his style .
MrTantamount I remember when the group Jurassic 5 got into it with Eminem, and they called him a fake ass Chino XL LOL. I'm not taking anything away from Eminem. Eminem isn't that good of a lyricist anymore . Even in his prime from 1995 to 1999 there were at least 30 rappers better than him .

Being in the same generation doesn't apply here. If that were the case Em's first joint in 96 would have been like the rest of his albums. Ironically Em's shock rap comes into play 3 years AFTER Chino started that sub-genre.......🤔
So, okay, Eminem got heavily influenced by Chino XL? and that's what grown men cry over in the whole comment section?

Black Thought, Elzhi, Royce, Big L, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Diabolic, Tonedeff, ChinoXL, Cambatta, to name just a few.
It’s hilarious how he constantly says “he’s not hating on Eminem” then spews mad hate saying he bit another emcees whole style 🤣
Man, thanks a lot for bringing that to light!
No problem , Paul .
Chino is my nigga .. I remember him and my little cousin used to hike on each other all the fucking time...I remember one of his songs (into the pit ) I think that video was shot in East Orange nj .. When I first saw the video ( I'm a creep ,I'm a loser ) video I was at club elite in the city at a fashion show and Chino's video was playing back to back in the city ... Those of you from NYC or came to chill in the City or been to club elite yall know how big that club is and how Lit it get.....
I live in a Canadian province that is located North of Montana . I have no idea what it is like to live in a big Canadian city ( The Greater Toronto Area or The Greater Montreal Area ) let alone a big American city .
I thought this the immediately the first time I heard "I just don't give a fuck"
I can't believe no one called this out until now
He's from East Orange new Jersey moved to LA in the early 90's in his late teens
ONE INACURACY. CHINO WAS BORN IN THE BRONX, NY, RAISED IN NJ. MUCH LATER MOVED TO THE WEST COAST, AFTER HIS RELEASE INTO THE INDUSTRY, BECAUSE OF HIS ACCEPTANCE AND HOW HE WAS EMBRACED BY THE WEST.
Correction: Chino is originally from the Jerseys via the Bronx.
To me Em is better. But Chino made his whole style. Em got thousand flows though. And his rhyme patterns are so diverse
Anyways those were always my top two. I even told Chino this before he died, thanking him for the consistent quality over the years
Very interesting. I always thought Chino XL was better than 2pac that's why he hated him
Tupac didn't hate Chino XL, the "F-you too" was a nod to Chino's rants and not hate...he was nowhere near 2Pac's radar
@@qoako9695he was no where near pacs "radar" but still mentioned him hmm makes no sense but ok lol
Chino name dropped 2Pac in a disrespectful way on Riot! from Here to Save You All. That's why 2Pac responded on Hit Em Up.

Em's annunciations and pop culture punch lines were definitely influenced by Chino XL but his whole gimmick was ripped off by Esham, ICP and HOK later to be known as Twiztid. He rode the whole horrorcore Detroit wave while it was hot because he couldn't get over ripping off NAS

I don’t think it’s fair to call him a biter if every rapper u named sounds like he hit from but won’t say they bit off each other none of these guys were biting jus inspired by they styles of each other around that time a lot of rappers rapped liked that em took master ace az nas it’s jus influence
I've also been saying this for ages, if you listen to M's first album Infinite also released in 96, he rhymes more like AZ/Naz. holy shit you sed that and I wrote that before i listened to you bring it up at the end of your video, you defs know your shit,
No disrespect to the lyrical warrior Em.....but some of this discussion is real and on point.
But chino has been around longer
Eminem had infinite album around 95 or 96 chinos here to ssve u all dropped a litt after but i can see why u say that eso with all the name dropping
Eminem was biting Tame One Artifacts in 96

Any student of 90s hip hop knows very well that Chino XL is the originator of the shock value rap. Eminem definitely bit Chino XL style and its quite obvious.
Eminem was battling. Actually battling other MCs. Eminem is the best MC all time over all. Still bending the lyrical bar.

Eminem copied Masta Ace , Pharoahe Monch , AZ , Insane Clown Posse , Esham , Twiztid , Cage and Chino XL . How can he be a "rap god" if he can't even be original ? He's a big commercial sell-out . This is just stupid. I love Chino, but Em is the GOAT. Chino is in my top 5 though...
Absolutely not.. Eminem had been doing that fast delivery style since 94 with Soul Intent. Chino dropped in 96. I got Chino's album around May 96 and loved it so I'm not hating either.
Stop capping, Eminems 96 album doesn't sound like the commercial Eminem, stop it!
@@qoako9695 Infinite has a lot of AZ influence..so for sure Em has been influenced by people. But the Slim Shady E.P. and forward..did not sound like Chino XL. Chino was not an avid multisyllabilist like that. Em was..if I had to guess who Em's influence was..I'd say it was a collective of people. The NYC underground scene at the time. Natural Elements..Outsidaz..Doom..Breezly Brewin..J-Treds..the after hours of Thursday night (early Friday morning) of Stretch and Bob..that radio show was full of pre-Eminem, Eminem-esque styles and flows.
and so many other rappers had a fast flow..that alone doesn't relegate one to sounding like Chino XL. The clear difference is Eminem rapped/raps multisyllabicly consistently. Chino XL doesn't.
Better yet, is there anything original about Eminem?
