You always hear it's bad for singers to mess with their vocal chords for things like this. I am glad it was not lasting damage, but it did sound amazing!

N most of them doesn't had weight situation like risu does. . Risu actually kinda like to do that as well, but her situation is kinda diff from others, she's comes from below average family n she's the first child n her income is higher rather than the father so when she got in hololive she's the one who help her family she share her income to them for live n her lit brother n sis . That's why she can't spend bunch of money to waste on something who can't get monetize, but actually if she's had more income or the family alrd on the stable finance I bealive she will makes something like cover stuff karaoke stuff even the copyright striking n she love to make her other Original song as well . She's mention in some stream, she's alrd be grateful to becomes a member on hololive bcs it's helping her a lot. If she's not joined up on hololive member maybe at now she's a housewife from other dude who are love or maybe not love him. Bcs in Indonesia bunch of ppl had something movement like that. . If you're kinda poor girl situation n can't get a good job for income n your family is trouble at financial you doesn't had the option for married with a man who had good job so u can leaving ur family n decrease the weight of ur parent bcs the member of family leaving out. Man I love Risu, she's very versatile in every type of song genre. One of my favourite song cover from her is "Snow Halation" where she use her deep voice together with her high pitch voice, creating some sort of effect where we thought it was sung by different people but actually it's just her. But never I imagined that she will do a real duet in a song cover, and that's when her "Kakumei Dualism" came out as a surprise. This is a duet (actually more like a duel) between her and Pavolia Reine where they flex to each other related to their singing skill. You need to see it XD

AS I didn't see a direct mention about it. The start of Her cover of this song is actually part of the chorus of another Kanaria song called King(the video that was in the top right of the recommended). Which was one the "THE" Vtuber song. Every single Vtuber on this planet pretty much had a cover of that song. Even within Hololive there are plenty of variations of the song. Kanaria song in general are largely covered by Vtubers. If you see them release a song, expect within the next 4 months about 20+ vtuber covers of them.
you can compare it to Takane Lui Mira cover which is more similar to the original while Risu's cover is more "darker" as you said. the growl and maniac laugh is a special additions from Risu

I don't know deep you've gone into Hololive music, but if you haven't seen Watame's "My Song" I'd definitely recommend checking out, and if you'd want to see a totally different side of her maybe her [A]ddiction cover.
