Yep, used to be about the cars. Stopped going to meets a while ago now, unfortunately. Now its just ford fiestas turning up with a pops and bangs map and no interest in the passion people have put into their pride and joy.
Bro thank I agree with rule 2 literally it's why I can't go to Houston meets Because it's always that Mopar ruining it for everyone like your gonna see it 8/10 most of the times (new to his channel might sub)
Facts bro I don’t go to the car meets at night it’s just a bunch of goofy parking lot flame shooters and people doing burnouts the hosts don’t give a’f. The early morning cars and coffee events are so much better 👍
@@VQ.Family honestly I think the night meets can be cool if it’s well run. Here in Columbia, SC we used to have the biggest monthly car meet on the east cost with like 3000 monthly visitors, the hosts rented out a harley davidson dealership parking lot, charged like $15 for entry, had vendors, food, music, it was a good time. Nobody acted out because there was an exhaust competition and a burnout competition, $5 entry, crowd votes on the best one, winner takes the entire pot. It was a good time, there was police presence, and there was order. The guys who ran it lived close by and had respect for the surrounding community. It can work but to do it properly can get really expensive and time consuming.
I'jm an older car guy, but it's good see a young dude like you calling this stupidity out. Sometimes I'm like "maybe I'm just old and out of touch", but you were on point the whole video. Attention-seeking is at an all-time high in pretty much every hobby. Gotta call out and shame these kind of things. SOMETIMES gatekeeping is a good thing! Earned my sub.
I literally laughed so hard at kids sitting on lambos. Lamborghini is such a poser car like how anyone gives a f about a kid sitting on one is hilarious to me. 500,000 dollar Lambo, yeah and you could have bought 2 f40s, or 5 lotus esprits. Then if a kid broke one you'd have another right? The truth is these people finance these cars and that's why they're so pissed off that people sit on them because then they can't get their returns when they go to return it. Lol
I live in TN, and I went to my local car meet and saw a red NSX. Every other car I walked by, pointing at bits of each car that I liked to my friend, still not touching any cars. But when I got to that NSX, I became so formalized in the way I came up put my hands literally behind my back, and continued to spectate the vehicle. This is how most people should be around obviously rare and expensive cars, and any car that has been built up.
Thank you for creating this video! As someone that’s been around this community for more than 30 years, most of the shit you mentioned ruins it for all of us!
@@dutchman9775 I’ve been around it for maybe half of that time if I’m giving a generous estimate but it seems as time progresses that a lot of ppl are getting into cars for the wrong reasons. I understand that if you have a cool car or say things online about cars that it will result in clout or money, both of which I have received, more on tiktok than on here. However if your main goal is to just break the law and do goofy shit for profit instead of just enjoy and drive cars and the people around them them I think the car community was better off being a small niche thing.
@ I couldn’t agree more my friend!!! It seems like these days it’s all about high HP and drifting in circles breaking the law, than the love for any number of cars and the uniqueness in modifying/customizing them to your specific wants/needs. Great video!! Looking forward to more of your videos.
The truth is it's not about the cars in general it's about attention, likes and views sadly the car scene is a cookie cutter world compared to 20 years ago
I’ve seen this so many times! My 10 year old understands these principles better than some adults. Don’t touch, don’t ever sit on a car and talk to the owner. I’m in Houston, I’ve seen Cars and Coffee get kicked out of each new location for some foolery taking place.
I’m so glad I’m into race cars. For the most part you avoid all this stuff. Race cars are just objects you can goof off with them because they’re always going to end up damaged anyway
bro I read this and all I could hear was the cash register cha-ching sound lol. Whatever sports car you drive, you have to be making significantly more bread to afford to purchase, maintain, and drive the race car version of it or to turn your street car into a race car lol. I 100% agree with you though. Whether it's the drag strip or the race track, every time I've been, there are significantly less clout chasers and the ppl there know wtf they're doing and how tf to act and have more respect for other people's shit.
I lost it a long time ago, just parked it one day in the corner of the shop and its been sitting there for about 8 years. I really don't even enjoy working on them anymore.
True shit. The Atlanta Caffeine and Octane had to be relocated from the upscale Perimeter Mall to Town Center Mall in because they got tired of dealing with this crap. It was making the roads very dangerous around Perimeter Mall and only getting worse. Now at the new location, I-75 has turned into a damn racetrack on every 1st Sunday. You see crashes all the time, people lane splitting and racing while filming for TikTok and overall causing mayham. I used to love car meets and the culture, but now I hate it. Id rather show off my car driving around my local area than go to one of these meets.
*Im here in the Queen City myself and C&C is a good meet but I feel like its gotten too big for the venue. I was in the minitruck scene back in the late 1980s so I've been to my share of shows. Have you ever been out to the UNCC parking deck meets? Those got cancelled for a while too because people kept drag racing to the point it made local news. Its a shame that the younger crowd does not have enough personal control to join in to public events these days.*
Now, I don't really know any places where car meets happen so I've never really gone to one, but, I feel tha the Clout posting and clicking photos of cars like they are your own is seriously so annoying, even from the screen. Also w content as usual!
nah acting like someone else's car is yours is INSANE lol. I saw a reel from a c8 owner where a guy asked him to take a picture in front of his car at the gas station...next thing you know he's posting it online like it's his lol.
Bro, you nailed it. All the thing you mentioned have killed car meets for me. I have a classic and I won't take it to shows anymore. Not worth the headache.
@@Texasbroski512 one meet that I used to go to had a playground next to it so all the kids would just end up on swings and slides after awhile instead of running around the meet lol
I miss the old days of built, not bought cars. Everybody seems to have a mustang, hellcat, or Lamborghini. No real variety, I remember seeing, Buicks pontiacs, sometimes rare Plymouths. Now it is 3 basic cars at a meet.
I used to work at a luxury hotel, and we would have luxury cars come in all the time. I'll never forget the day I saw this beautiful green wrapped Porsche 918. I witnessed some tourists who were visiting the US touching on the car without the owner present, and left finger prints all over the car. Personally, I'd be pissed, but the guy saw his car, and he was super humble about it. I was completely shocked about that. We told him what happened and he smiled and said, "it's okay, it's just a car. There are things in life thag are much more value than this thing." While I was relieved that he was super humble about it, I still think it's just the principle & respect of the matter.
10 years ago, I made a ton of very good friends in the DFW Holden/G8/SS/PPV/GTO/CTS-V crowd and we had a really great time...the sideshow thing wasnt happening, just a little burnout leaving meets, maybe a doughnut in an empty lot here and there, maybe some group late night Tollway pulls...nobodynwas filming or taking a lot of pictures...we were having cookouts and putting on headers or doing a cam swap with group assistance. It wasn't like the Mustang, Camaro/Corvette or Mopar groups...it was a more mature crowd and we loved the cars because they were practical, affordable, understated and LS powered. I shudder to think what it would be like to be involved now...the dynamics were already changing and elitism was creepimg in when I left and the SS guys were showing up. Glad I left in 2018 and didn't have to see the fall of a fun community.
i remember me and my dad driving down to florida from canada in our rv stumbled upon a late night car meet, around 2007 era. it was fast and furious like ricer cars and the strangers there were really nice to us and there was a firework show, some drag races (backroad) and guys talking cars. when i compare those memories of being a kid in these car meets and what i saw then vs now... holy shit. Ive been to car shows sponsored by small towns too with closed down roads for the event. ive never seen one in over a decade
I opened a door to a McLaren F1 when I was 10 years old, it was at a Pocono racetrack. Guy was super cool (was asked to open the door and sit), I remember the center seat and gold engine bay. Such a cool memory.
Young man ! You are a glimmer of Light. The car seen / culture is DEAD!!!! People have no respect , Manners , genuine interest in cars anymore. Unfortunately social media is a big reason why. Im 36yrs so not old but not young lol. When i was growing up . We had Normal cars starting off and built them ourselves or with friends. With the 5.75 hr jobs we had. We respected eachothers cars as we knew the blood swaet and tears it took to save ur money and create ur whip. I haven't been to a car show in about 20 years. It has been heading this direction for a while. I just go to small gatherings every once in a while, with regulars that go weekly.
nah fr, like I said, it wouldn't even be happening if nobody was recording. Imagine buying a supercar then going and doing this in the privacy of your own garage, not filming it, not posting it anywhere, it just wouldn't exist lol.

Totally agree with all you're saying. i was earlier generation of the 2000-2009 ish. This crap wasnt happening. None of it. Crystal Cove was great. Mostly people that could actually afford exotics owned the cars. We would roll out , cruise a couple spots. Up and down PCH. Go have lunch. Meet up with another group. It comes down to this generation of youth in the car scene. From the pathetic street car take overs to the internet blowing up and people rushing to record and be first to post. My close friend i used to cruise with and take our cars out, hasn't gone to an event in years. Cant stand it. Its a shame because his collection puts mine to shame. Whether its in F40 or Enzo to his la Ferrari, he wont go to the events anymore. Im just glad a young buck like you has some tact and class and see's what is going on in the scene. Access to many cars that this younger generation is blessed to have where it was not like that years ago. (Owned corvettes since i was 22 and was blessed i was able to get one. That goes for porsche as well. But the reason is throughout "normal" history of cars, only older established guys could afford a corvette or porsche , that is why you see older or middle age guys driving them in the past. Now? This generation has no idea how lucky they are to have 3 generations of vettes they can get buy. Im Gen x, drove a vette when i was 22 (lucky) and now have two in my collection but i dont wear new balance, none of my vette friends do :) ( she is that little OF chick, they all want clout, attention, look at me generation. If the simps didnt give the attention they would fade out)
i remember a story nolan told on past gas about these guys who would come to his meets him and his brother set up in clearly stolen muscle cars and sit there not talk to anyone then they would do burnouts and on a few occasions run into others cars then when the cops would come they would get in high speed chases with them and when they were asked to leave the would make death threats and say they where gonna find and jump them...... all in all its sad all it is a pathetic cry for attention and clout from someone who will never in there whole life deserve anything worth while. It just sucks that the majority of us suffer for the actions a truly small and pathetic minority in the scene.
First video I've ever seen from this guy, and I will say I am pleasantly surprised, good editing, great content, good vibe in general. Hope this channel grows.
As a Mopar guy that’s closer to 35 than 15(past 35 by almost 6 months lol) that has to be the younger guys that’s just got into cars that’s doing all the extra stuff but this video is spot on!
i agree entirely with the sentiment against sideshows and burnouts when leaving an event BUT lets be real. MOST cats ay super car meets and traditional hot rod/ classic meets ain't drivers no way, or are old farts who did the same in their youth, but wanna act brand new now. the reality is there has ALWAYS been this type of activity at car meets. its just that now we once again have easy access to stupid powerful cars again. in the 90s to early 2k, a lot of the younger kids pushed civics and other FWD cars which didn't have the power or ability to Hoon around like a 392, Hellcat, Coyote Mustang or even q50/350 Nissans or just about every modern RWD car out in the last 10 years.
@@DaDeCodeIsTruth the difference now is that police are shutting down events, and sanctioned events are losing their spots because the owners of the lot don’t want that stuff happening and the organizers are advising against it, yet ppl still do it. Never did I say doing it was bad and it should never be done. Of course the oldheads did it too, but I’m saying there’s a time and a place.
I haven't been to C&C since it was downtown at the music factory. I was going to go to the cold meet, but so glad I didn't. I hope they find a new spot in clt soon, but the Concord meet at the speedway looks decent.
lol I was born 6 days before teh 90s ended so I have no clue what that was like but I'm sure it was borderline magical lol. A friend of mine who is in his 30s was telling me about that the other day, no cameras to accidentally incriminate each other, if there were they were shitty 360p video cameras that were so bad that you can't actually make out faces and license plates in the dark of night at 1am and there was no youtube, tiktok, and insta to upload it to. From the footage that does exist it doesn't look like ppl weren't just trying to show out to go viral.
I brought a friend to a car meet once and he noticed the wrap on this civic was kinda messed up so he started picking at it and ended up tearing a large piece of the wrap off
What people are forgetting at car meets, is that if people don't respect the car than the owner is less likely to bring it out again for fear of it getting damaged. That's how car meets die.
The kid sliding off the Aventador should be considered a "cursed video" at this point. If you watch it he will come to slide off your car at night, and you'll wake up the next morning only to see scratches on the hood for days! 😂
man, this video speaks nothing but facts. theres only a few meets i ever go to cuz im in the midwest and when mfs get bored they start doing "takeovers" i knew it was bad when people in my neighborhood started asking me if i joined in on that shit
i'm so glad i'm away from that car scene. I started attending car scenes in 2003 up until 2011. Back when we didn't need social media, cars felt rare to see even though you just saw them a few months prior. I can't imagine how much it's changed now with all this tik tok stuff... it seems scary.
I was lucky enough to build a 429 fair lady. When I was younger, when I remember the first car show I took it to I was so proud. And a bunch of idiot, kids ended up cracking the carbon fiber front splitter, I put on it. They used it as a step stool to see farther into the engine bay. And one of the parents said it'll buff out, it cost me $2500 to replace it
@@kevinschneider1820 wait wait wait you dropped a 429 in a fairlady?! That’s sick. Damn you shoulda told the parent to pay for “buffing it out” since it’s not that big of a deal to him lol
I’ve been getting into cars recently and have been learning about modding my own car! I haven’t been to a car meet yet but I could never imagine acting like this lol it seems like common sense.
And don’t forget, people who only bring stock cars to a car meet. And you’re the only modified car. Or “the car is modded” but it’s only exterior mods.
The car scene is absolutely trash now. Has been for years now. I stopped going to all the stupid meets and cars and coffee, I’ll go to the old guys stuff now if I feel like taking the ride out.
Bruh....I don't even touch other ppls' cars at meets without their permission. I had another girl lean on my car once at a meet, I about had a heart attack. 😅
Honestly i hate it whenever a rich guy comes into a car meet and brings some uberly expensive car and has no idea what the car even is or has no knowledge of any car ever, car meets are for car enthusiasts not for people that use cars as a boost in their ego. If you come to a meet in your lambo at least know more than just the name of your car. In general if you go to a car meet please have knowledge of cars and why people love cars. A real car enthusiast respects all cars no matter what make. Usually people that drive said expensive cars hate everyones elses car only because it wasnt as expensive as theirs
Glad i live in Texas, really don't ever see people climbing on other people's cars due to it being a sure fire way to get your ass shot. The big issue we've been seeing grow is street racing, though thats partly a side effect to the fact that they've been shutting down all our race tracks left and right.
Let's put rule #1 toward bikes also please. I hate to come around to see someone sitting or posing on my bike. If ya asked, it be different. Also I hate takeovers and social media acting up. I actual only attend one show a year (British invasion) because it's just become ridiculous. This meet is definitely older generations and has a different feel, but it's only true enthusiast that travel to it. Which makes for a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. I can walk away from any vehicle we bring and know it will be respected and unharmed. Can't say that for most nowadays
all these so called "car guys" that can't even change their own oil lol. I've seen social media ruin the scene these past years, getting to the point that i don't take my cars to any meet because its just not worth the trouble anymore.

Nice, the homie @cfrost_media filmed it, go peep his slammedenuff aftermovie
Rule number 1 don't go. Don't add yourself to the list of suspects.
It’s a sad truth, you don’t go and you don’t get involved with the car community. because this is 75% of it all and no one has to balls to say it
Too too true
there should be class on respect.
nah fr lol
Those kind of people have ruined all the car meets in Greensboro
Yep, used to be about the cars. Stopped going to meets a while ago now, unfortunately. Now its just ford fiestas turning up with a pops and bangs map and no interest in the passion people have put into their pride and joy.
That girl should be arrested
This is how most people should be around obviously rare and expensive cars, and any car that has been built up.
its the squeeze benz generation. its all about higher risks and extreme disrespect now.
@@BLX187 nah facts
Sauber C9 tomfoolery when
I lost it a long time ago, just parked it one day in the corner of the shop and its been sitting there for about 8 years.
Its a shame that the younger crowd does not have enough personal control to join in to public events these days.*
charger/challengerfags?
Now, I don't really know any places where car meets happen so I've never really gone to one, but, I feel tha the Clout posting and clicking photos of cars like they are your own is seriously so annoying, even from the screen.
Also w content as usual!
nah acting like someone else's car is yours is INSANE lol. I saw a reel from a c8 owner where a guy asked him to take a picture in front of his car at the gas station...next thing you know he's posting it online like it's his lol.
@@Vincetagram 🤣
I would argue that many of the people that partake in these activities aren't necessarily 'car people'. Thank you for making me not feel crazy.
Bro, you nailed it. All the thing you mentioned have killed car meets for me. I have a classic and I won't take it to shows anymore. Not worth the headache.
Just ban MOPARS leashes on kids under 15 and boom nice event
Bruh😂😂😂
My car scene died years ago
Thanks!
Broooooooo, thanks man! Appreciate that you appreciate the videos!
Awesome video! I can see you blowing up if you keep making videos exactly like this.
Now a days there are 16yrs kids with 200k cars and make others feel like if you dont start off with a hellcat . You arent bleep! there are alot of youtubers my age and older that are out of touch as well and forgot where they started . which is unfortunate as well. So much more issues but i would need to start a blog myself lol. Just kep doing what you are doing . And stay rooted as you are now .
@@lasctywi honestly that’s a whole problem in itself. This whole hustle culture bullshit has infected the car scene where everybody’s aspiring to own a $200k car by the time they’re 21. Everythings a flex like why can’t we just enjoy the cars. Not to mention half these kids who have $200k cars at 21 aren’t telling you that it’s either A. his dads, B. His dad helped him get it, C. Was aquired through illegitimate methods, D. Making online content(which in reality isn’t for everyone and isn’t sustainable), E. or a very rare occasion of someone actually making a fuck ton of money at a young age via their business or a great paying job and the reality is that very few start a business, especially at 18, go from $0 to being able to pay yourself enough to afford a high end car in 3 years.

I dont understand why people act this way. Every single person that attends a car meet should be required to watch this video. I used to go to the charlotte cars and coffee when i lived there and it kept getting moved because people keep screwing it up.
Thank you for making this video!
The fact that you have to make this video about common sense. Speaks volumes to how low we’ve stooped as a community
I haven't been to a car show in about 20 years. It has been heading this direction for a while. I just go to small gatherings every once in a while, with regulars that go weekly.
Those mooks reving engines & doing burnouts is what we call 430 credit score activities.
7:13 And recording just amplifies this bullshit.
nah fr, like I said, it wouldn't even be happening if nobody was recording. Imagine buying a supercar then going and doing this in the privacy of your own garage, not filming it, not posting it anywhere, it just wouldn't exist lol.
Man I love cars since I was a child and where the only cars we ever see is suzuki honda and low budget cars not dis respectig those brands but you know low budget 4 bangers hatches and suvs and whenever I see those cars ever so often in the street man I dont even touch it just admire the car and stare at it bro even audi A3 are exotic cars here on par with super cars and we still respect the a3 but dancing on top of SVJ man my jaw dropped and I mourned for the car's respect

Good content bro👍
First video I've ever seen from this guy, and I will say I am pleasantly surprised, good editing, great content, good vibe in general. Hope this channel grows.
And that is why i stay in the shadows its not what it used to be.
Nicely edited. ❤
As a Mopar guy that’s closer to 35 than 15(past 35 by almost 6 months lol) that has to be the younger guys that’s just got into cars that’s doing all the extra stuff but this video is spot on!
Cars and coffee is not cars and coffee, its just a car meet. I prefer to actually go get coffee in cars with the boys
i agree entirely with the sentiment against sideshows and burnouts when leaving an event BUT lets be real.
Bro, how do you not have 100k subs minimum? Great channel, keep grindin.

I haven't been to C&C since it was downtown at the music factory. I was going to go to the cold meet, but so glad I didn't. I hope they find a new spot in clt soon, but the Concord meet at the speedway looks decent.

Good shit man. Just found your content and I am honestly amazed.
I started street racing in the late 90’s we would meet at Wienerschnitzel on El Camino in Santa Clara California. Those were the days.
lol I was born 6 days before teh 90s ended so I have no clue what that was like but I'm sure it was borderline magical lol.
I brought a friend to a car meet once and he noticed the wrap on this civic was kinda messed up so he started picking at it and ended up tearing a large piece of the wrap off
@@bsosmoove that’s WILDDDDDD yeah you gotta get your boy😂😂
What people are forgetting at car meets, is that if people don't respect the car than the owner is less likely to bring it out again for fear of it getting damaged. That's how car meets die.

i'm so glad i'm away from that car scene.

I’ve been getting into cars recently and have been learning about modding my own car! I haven’t been to a car meet yet but I could never imagine acting like this lol it seems like common sense.
It’s already ruined majority of authentic car person has left the scene because there’s a bunch of nonsense going on in the “car scene”
And don’t forget, people who only bring stock cars to a car meet. And you’re the only modified car.
Or “the car is modded” but it’s only exterior mods.
I only go to vintage car shows. And unfortunately the teen-40yr olds have started invading that. 😢
The car scene is absolutely trash now. Has been for years now. I stopped going to all the stupid meets and cars and coffee, I’ll go to the old guys stuff now if I feel like taking the ride out.

Yea I just sit in my garage and do my own car shit with close homies now. I swing by meets all the time and it just doesn’t feel the same.
