A powerful sermon that makes me realize how important it is to read each Bible verse in its context. Grateful for the faithful and humble ministry of Dr. Carson.

Gentleness and patience with others one seeks to correct--"And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient, correcting opponents with gentleness" II Timothy 2:24-25 (NET).
In contrast--a rebellious spirit toward people one seeks to correct--in I Samuel 15, rebellion cost Saul his throne--"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king" (v. 23). In I Samuel 13, He had a religious reason.

Peter wrote there are some things that Paul wrote that are difficult to understand, that some Christians have distorted to teach false doctrine, and this continues to this day, and it is crucial to study the thirteen letters to corroborate the complete context of his personal Canon, but more crucially Paul is not the Eternal God manifest in flesh, who said three times heaven and earth will pass away but My words will never pass away, and this means that the foundation on which to build any doctrine in the Rock of His Revelation, a wise man builds his house for eternity on His Word, He that Hears these sayings of mine and does them erects their house for eternity on His words

    Questions:
    1. Why did Paul follow the sacrificial laws around unbelieving Jews when he knew it was a sin to do so?
    2. Did Jesus ever stop keeping Torah laws when he was around gentiles to win them over to the faith?
    3. Why did Paul use deception against his unbelieving Jewish brothers to win them over to the faith?
    4. While Jesus was on the earth, did he ever condone his disciples using deception to win people over to the faith?
    5. When Jesus left the earth, did he ever condone or promote the use of deception by his followers to win people over to the faith?
    6. Does Jesus presently condone or promote the use of deception by his followers to win people over to the faith?
    7. Did Jesus teach Paul how to use deception to win over unbelieving Jews to the faith?
    8. Is deception a tool of Satan or Jesus?
    9. Is there any darkness in Jesus or his father?

Did you listen to the preaching until the end? Don never said that Paul practiced and taught deception or whatsoever. Listen attentively.

To the deplorer of Deplorables I became like a deplorer of Deplorables. To the sanctifier of Christian votes for Democrats I became like a sanctifier of Christian votes for Democrats. To those who view the deadliness of Trump’s unrepentant womanizing as comparable to the killing of the unborn I became . . . To the pretenders that un-woke blacks don’t exist I became like a pretender that un-woke blacks don’t exist and (JD and Merritt) kept Carol Swain’s mic off and canceled Voddie et. al. to prevent the messengers and the denomination from learning that they do exist. To the environmental zealots I became like an environmental zealot. To the vaxers … the shot-takers . . church closers
