I've been listening to this music and waves for many nights to help me rest. I struggle to fall asleep because of pain. I read a few comments for the first time tonight and my heart was warmed within me. To those who come after me and read my comment, allow yourself to be encouraged by the words of others here. Let your heart, mind, and body be put at ease, at lest for the night. You are not really alone.
I was born in England the misty area narrow cobblestone streets horses hooves clipping along people talking so clear of rain and thunder sky changing from light to dark its London without rain and fog it's not the same just perfect thank u we need beautiful videos like this in a world of turmoil so we can forget❤
i just cant explain enough how familiar this looks and sounds to me... its like a long forgotten memory, where i cover my head with my hat as i run to the local dim lit pub and hang my coat as i am embraced with the warmth and roaring laughter of the people chatting there. feels so familiar in ways i cannot explain!
This is still my favorite ambiance of all time. I can't even begin to tell you how often I come back here. Sleep, inspo, coping with mental illness, it covers it all. And the visual is just divine ❣️
I had never seen a fouler night. The musky cocktail of damp mould lingered in the air like a phantom. Worse still, I was called on this night to investigate yet another grisly murder carried out by the infamous "Ripper," whose deeds would please even Lucifer, himself.
As one comment I read elsewhere mentioned, Victorian London must have been a really spooky place at night. Jack the Ripper, mist, countless ghosts and hellhounds, faint and flickering streetlamps, Spring-Heeled Jack.
I have many daydreams of being in old London especially this era.. riding in the back of a carriage , wearing fancy dresses a corset, finding a dapper suitor ... Then waltzing away outside to the rain soaked streets and laughing then finally the kiss.... Yes I love this video ❤️❤️
Strange that in 1879 London people were freezing to death in shop doorways and alley ways in winter, whilst in Zululand our redcoats were fighting and dying at Rorke's Drift area in temperatures of 40 degrees in the shade (and there was no shade). An era of stoicism, bravery and great suffering but hauntingly romantic when portrayed in this graphic.
POV: You are in The Victorian Era In London, England. As you walk down the dimly lit street the smell of rain fills your nostrils as you feel the light chill from the cold wind gently blowing against your face, The gentle murmurs of thunder spread quickly across the sky as you walk down the street you cover your head with your coat in order to shield yourself from the gentle droplets of rain falling from the sky. You slowly start to see the sign of your favorite pub gently swaying in the wind, As you enter you hear the loud booms of laughter and the soft melodies of a song playing in the background And the conversations around you. As you begin to take off your coat you prepare for a night of drinking and dancing All is good and Well. The end..
I decided to not go in the pub, but lean against the wall under shelter, wrapping myself up in my jacket and embracing the heavens as they poured down drops of solitude upon my face. Goodnight :)
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.

I know that life in the Victorian Era must have been quite tragic and poor, but at the same time, so many wonderful developments in culture, music, and science were taking place... Satie and Debussy were composing mysterious, melancholic pieces for the piano; Mary Anning was finding fossils that revolutionised our understanding of the Earth; Victor Hugo was contributing remarkable works of literature that questioned so poetically the injustices of society. Thank you for this beautiful Victorian ambience, Autumn Cozy :) It really takes you down beautiful paths and trains of thought.
I just arrived home from work. And suddenly.... I find myself strolling down this cobbled street of beautiful, gothic architectural buildings. Transfixed by the sounds of rain and horse drawn carriages. Thanks Autumn Cozy.😆 💙 💙 💙 💛 💛 💛
I love old London! The dark and misty alleyways and mysterious buildings all around! Carriages on cobblestone and just the aura it has! Like there’s a mystery about to happen at every corner! It just seemed easier to make your way in the world then, if you were well connected that is. All you needed was a few good connections and maybe a college degree or some important job.

You wouldn't rest so peacefully if you had seen the way that man with one eye and a scar across his left cheek followed you with his good eye as you passed on the street earlier in the day . quick !! what was that shadow that just flitted past your window !?? Was it a night bird barely illuminated by a brief flash of lightning??? Hmmmmm??

I started reading for fun regularly again. Frankenstein has been great, but since I’m in southern California in the middle of summer, most times the mood and atmosphere aren’t quite right (which I completely underestimated about reading). This video is great for that :)
It truly is a captivating era! People always point out how awful it was back then, and I know that, but to just _visit_ for a day or two would be so lovely! ☔️
Oh to be able to time travel. I went on a jack the ripper tour by foot some years ago and finished in the 10 bells hotel on a rainy night. My imagination was running riot. Best holiday ever, I adore Victorian history. Many thanks from Australia.
I'll have an RPG session set in 18th century Europe and I'll use this to start it off with. No pirate antics, just adventures in the old world, a "Tale of two cities" kind of vibe. There will be six classes: - The noble: a rapier fighter whose contacts among the wealthy can open certain doors. - The soldier: a rank and file veteran whose bravery and proficency with muskets and fighting atop a horseback may save the team through harsh moments. - The doctor: a scholar whose knowledge may save them from even the most gruesome wounds, or he might amputate your leg, who knows? - The spy: a misterious individual whose light feet and attentive ears may give the party the upper hand. - The hunter: a woodsman whose skill with the rifled musket can be put to use as much as his knowledge of the woods and their paths. - The priest: a cleric whose faith and connections among the church may lead the party into otherwise unacessible paths. I'm not sure yet about the story, but it might even include supernatural stuff...
Would you ever do a rainy city ambiance? Like heavy rain on the pavement, the glow of the streetlights, distant sounds of cars and people walking.. that would be lovely
I was a young 14 year old boy live here and I have long last depression when come to live here i met many peoples here sometime can relate to to person who live here, now all those day's are long gone and I had special places for my teenhood and its my heart this day ill never forget the old London
Okay but this legit sounds just like my uni town??? Horses, bell chimes, rain.... I feel like I've just gotten off the bus at 11pm in October after spending the entire day in the library. There was this one evening I was walking home and a guy had driven his horse and cart to Morrisons. I could hear hoofbeats on the road whilst it poured with rain. It sounded just like this.
Surely a night such as this deserves only the finest book to read! A book with such a heartfelt story, one so robust and fruitful it could move the soul itself to tears! (In other words, this is the perfect reading background noise, thank you.)
Thank you, CBN! It's quite hot in Vancouver today (well, what we Canadians consider hot anyway, ha!), so I'm queuing up some 'not summery at all' ambiences to write to today!
All of my favorite sounds in one place- the rain, thunder, horse's hooves on cobblestone streets, the chiming of an old clock. This is perfection!!! Thank you!!!
@@AutumnCozy it reminds me of Coram Boy (my favorite book) even though Coram Boy is about an earlier time period (1741-1751). *For music,* I prefer the Renaissance and Baroque eras but *in general* I like all English historical time periods.
I too live the atmosphere, but the diseases you could catch wouldn't be worth it !! Plague and cholera were still rife !!! So was yellow fever dysentery , turburculosis , ect, ect , ect .
This is exactly how I imagine jem, will and tessa's london. the dark avenues and horses and carriages everywhere, the feeling of a cold city where every corner has eyes and many stories to tell
are we all gona ignore the shrieking screaming woman in the background (0.27-0.29)? 😅 def Old London 😅 All jokes aside, I really do absolutely love this one! ❤
This video has helped me get the sleep for the last 2 months, the amount of stories I can imagine before bed while listening to this ambience is amazing. Thank you ❤
I can imagine sitting in a cozy room looking out on this scene-the flickering lightening, the glowing lights, the horse and carriage sounds are all very engaging! 💜💜💜
Autumn Cozy That’s the wonderful part of these ambience videos-you can imagine yourself right in the middle of everything or just quietly, cozily observing. 💜💜💜 I just discovered that ambience videos are “a thing” about a month ago, and I am really getting into them and sharing with my sister and friend who are loving them, too! 💜💜💜
I Got The same feelings llay on my bed there was Rain and distant thunder i had my Windows open quite warm 25+degreesC so nice a pure ASMR witnessed im so blessed😊😊
Sure takes one back on time to a place filled with mystery. Love the combination of the rain, thunder, and horses pulling carriages through the streets. Adds a moment of relaxation with a mystery book.
I enjoy the Victorian Era. For those who want to capture its essence, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere through the game 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.' You don't necessarily have to play it intensively; instead, take the time to explore the streets of London during its gloomy, dark nights. It's truly an immersive experience.
I live next to the square mile, the City of London and this is what it’s like walking about in the rain, late at night, it’s deserted and creepy, but I like walking anyway. Still lots of old buildings around and tiny side streets and I love it! This video is great, the horses hooves and thunder light and cracks, nice details
This has helped me go to sleep during nights where sleeping was difficult for me, thank you Autumn Cozy, I hope you have a good day/night wherever you may be ☺️.
This makes me want to pull out a Sarah Waters novel! Neo Victorian gothic is my favorite sub genre of historical fiction, and this will be the PERFECT accompaniment for days when I read those types books. Another work of art ♥️
This has the air of Jack the Ripper's era.....A haunting ambience of the local taverns & inns where Elizabeth Stride and Mary Ann Nichols would frequent, drinking cheap gin and offering their services in the dark corridors as they drunkenly made their way to whatever lair they could afford, before suffering their fate. I love it x
AHHHHH NOOO, MY WEAKNESS, VICTORIAN LONDON... My favourite place in the (old) world, So sad that i can't go back to when it was like this ;(. Nice video though i want to live like a Victorian in the future (I'm 13 years old now...)
always had a fascination with old london! i did a past life regression and found out that i once was a girl born in the 1850s in london! i really love this video
Beautiful Work of art, ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING, the background of rain, the bells, horses, walking on footsteps you can literally feel yourself in Victorian England, Victorian England has a mystery about it, in this video would not like to walk alone at night in this era, thank God for the 21st century.

@@AutumnCozy Oh wow, how Awesome if you do not mind me asking what title is it and when will the book be published will I have the opportunity to buy it in England our book shops, The Victorian era is one of the most important eras of our time, from Mr Charles Dickens, to Workhouses, to factories, the very wealthy to the very poor, Queen Victoria, The nearest I have had the opportunity to be in the Victorian Era was having the opportunity to play the role of Oliver In a musical school stage production of "Oliver" then years later as an adult had the opportunity to make my mark again in the musical stage production of " Oliver" but had the opportunity to play the role of Nancy In a semi professional production, although the main leads were professional, the role of Oliver and supporting cast ( Non Professional) were ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING performers, were the sets were so realistic it really gave me chills to the bone. Good luck with the book Kim Phuong (actor).
Me too! I've been reading a lot of books set in that time (well, from then through the 20s) and find it one of the most interesting eras to learn about!
Magnificent! Here in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, there's a historic section called Old Town that reminds me a lot of Victorian London, especially at night.
*I can't open my eyes!* that's the first thing that crosses my mind as I regain lucidity. My body lays, numb yet stuff as a board on an unknown surface. For how long, I'm not sure. The first thing to come back was my hearing. My once quiet world turning upside-down as a sudden explosion of noise assaults my ears. Horse hooves clattering on stone, the loud, snappy voices of people passing by, the soft pattering of distant rain, and the unmistakable squeak of large, disease ridden rodents. Gradually, I also could also hear the distant sounds of a large clock. Unconsciously counting it's loud chimes I guessed that it was a bit past nine in the morning. All at once I was aware of my body. My cheek pressed against rain slicked stone, and I was soaked to the bone, my clothes clinging onto my thin frame, i could feel each drop of the rain as it hit my still, unmoving body. Was I on the ground? If so why and how did u get here? Next was smell. By far the worst of them all. The place stank of waste from animals, and probably humans too. The air was heavy with the smell of rotting food and body oder. Finally, my eyesight gradually returns. Chips of stone, and bits of old food and trash litter the ground around me. Thuroughly disgusted, I scramble to my feet, dusting off my pants and shirt sleeves. After wiping the rain from my bleary eyes, I take full note of the world around me. I was in, an allyway? A verry dirty and shrub choked one at that. Just in front of me is a bustling street. But there's no cars or neon signs, theirs... Wagon's Horse drawn wagons make their way up and down the narrow, mud caked streets. Stepping out of the ally, I gawk as one of the wagons passes by, right in front of me. I'm brought back to reality as I notice.. Their are people, lining the streets and leaning out of second story windows. Their all stareing at me. Panic shoots through my small body as I feel the combined force of their judging eyes. What should I do? *A.* *Try to ask for help/ directions* *B.* *Atempt to act natural*
As the 3rd great grandson of a Victorian woman, this hits me deep. My great-great-great grandmother Dora Colbole was born in 1894, during the end of the Victorian Era in Sussex. She came over here to the US on the Mayflower and she came to Oregon on the wagons. She struggled a lot as all us Victorians did. I am the only disabled modern Victorian man left as my twin brother died in utero.
This makes think of narrow alleys, with dark nooks and crannies where Jack the Ripper could jump out at any moment! I love true crime, so I mean that in a good way!
Hi it's me Amanda Tucker this video is relaxing and relieving hearing horses pull carriages on the road the rain falling the thunder rumbling and the lightning flashing through the shadow clouds in the dark seldom night and seeing London at night with dark alleys with a few corridors and street lamps light up making London look dark and mysterious through out the quiet stormy night it is very soothing to hear rain fall thunder rumble and horse hooves walking on the road in London's mysterious hours anyway good job keep up the great work you're doing well and well done stay positive.
All these sounds trigger something in our minds .. sounds that some of our ancestors would live by every day .. maybe it is a little sad the world evolved to what it is, but little bits of magic like this make us remember that it was real.
Thank you for getting the rain right. I live in the mountains and it rains all the time. This is exactly like it sounds. Almost all rain ambiance is WAY over done...too loud...too unnatural...not fading in and out like nature does. I am so grateful to find this, your video, that is natural and real. Keep on! You rock!
I'm so glad I got it right! In my older videos (before I learned to balance sounds properly) the rain would sound like static or hissing sometimes, so I worked on improving it. I'm happy this was relaxing for you! Have a wonderful week!
How am I late! This is so beautiful and so comforting I'm going to sit down and read a book to this stunning ambience. Thank you Autumn Cosy for providing us with these breathtaking videos! ❤

Has to be Dickens.

@@niviamaeva I would suggest Sherlock Holmes.
Absolutely WONDERFULL !!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Love the glow of the street lights and the dramatic sky! As the days are getting hotter this summer these types of scenes feel great.
Oh yes, this makes me want to travel back in time! Beautiful! Simply beautiful! 😍
I know things were pretty bad back then, but to visit just for a day or 2 would be grand! I'm happy you like it, Saem!
@@AutumnCozy I feel the same way. Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos!
As long as you're not a woman then you'll have a good time lol.
Reading Churchill's World War II diaries with this music makes the perfect atmosphere
Thank you for being 30 mins long so I don't wake up with my phone being dead and miss school/ work 🙌🏼💆🏻🌾🌧💙
This is exactly how I imagine jem, will and tessa's london. the dark avenues and horses and carriages everywhere, the feeling of a cold city where every corner has eyes and many stories to tell
YES.
My soul belongs in Victorian London 🖤
Same!
Have you ever played the Fable games?
My new favorite - up there with the best.
I can just visualize in my mind's eye Ebeneezer Scrooge walking down this Lantern Lit street to get to his place of work.
are we all gona ignore the shrieking screaming woman in the background (0.27-0.29)? 😅 def Old London 😅 All jokes aside, I really do absolutely love this one! ❤
Stunning sky 🌌 with thunder storm ⛈, amazing! Thank you. ❤️🦋🙏
You're so welcome! 🤗⛈
I absolutely adore London today but to go back and experience London back then, now that would be something.
MR MBF Be ok if you were rich, but I wouldn’t want to be poor back then.
This video has helped me get the sleep for the last 2 months, the amount of stories I can imagine before bed while listening to this ambience is amazing. Thank you ❤
You're so welcome! I'm happy it's been helping you sleep and imagine! 🌧🌧
@@AutumnCozy your channel is great! Amazing work❤
I absolutely love this ❤❤. More pls. Thanks.
I can imagine sitting in a cozy room looking out on this scene-the flickering lightening, the glowing lights, the horse and carriage sounds are all very engaging! 💜💜💜
I'm so happy you like it! It'd be _really_ cozy being tucked away inside as a thunderstorm rages on for sure! ☔️
Autumn Cozy That’s the wonderful part of these ambience videos-you can imagine yourself right in the middle of everything or just quietly, cozily observing.
💜💜💜
I just discovered that ambience videos are “a thing” about a month ago, and I am really getting into them and sharing with my sister and friend who are loving them, too!

Гроза, дождь и слякоть, грязь, продолговатые дома, узкие улицы, люблю старый Лондон! Спасибо за прекрасную картину и звук.
Sure takes one back on time to a place filled with mystery. Love the combination of the rain, thunder, and horses pulling carriages through the streets. Adds a moment of relaxation with a mystery book.
I'm glad you're enjoying this ambience, Donna! Happy reading! 📖
Thank you so much fit this video.
Absalutly fantastic. So relaxing.
I live in Arizona. I really needed this video.
I bet it's super hot there right now! I'm glad this could help a bit!
*Watches in awe and sips tea.*
It's truly an immersive experience.
great idea mate
Adore your content! Studying can't go without your videos ♥ Could you make a burrow ambient?
It’d be great to have this playing in the background while you read a book set in Victorian London
That's what I'm doing :)
Thanks for all you do. God bless!
0:01 Master Splinter, on his way to catch Jack the Ripper's friend, Oroku the Shredder.
I live next to the square mile, the City of London and this is what it’s like walking about in the rain, late at night, it’s deserted and creepy, but I like walking anyway. Still lots of old buildings around and tiny side streets and I love it! This video is great, the horses hooves and thunder light and cracks, nice details
This is glorious. So realistic for those of us who love old London.
Damm, was that a rat at the beginning? Remind me pretty much New York subway, I still like pretty much that scenery. bless you.
Yes
I agree Gina 😊👍
Agreed x
I can feel The Ripper lurking in the shadows.
This has helped me go to sleep during nights where sleeping was difficult for me, thank you Autumn Cozy, I hope you have a good day/night wherever you may be ☺️.
Thank you so much, Wyatt! I'm so glad this helped you get some rest!
This is fantastic. Especially the sky. That flag billowing just slightly in the breeze would just complete this.
I love it x
Words cant express how happy this makes me. Thank you so much for the gold you provide us with, The Victorian era is by far my favourite!
Kimberley W and mine too.
The sound of the rain really makes you feel sleepy, your mind relaxes
AHHHHH NOOO, MY WEAKNESS, VICTORIAN LONDON... My favourite place in the (old) world, So sad that i can't go back to when it was like this ;(. Nice video though i want to live like a Victorian in the future (I'm 13 years old now...)
I'm happy you enjoyed this little virtual leap back in time!
You should look up Bernadette Banner, she makes videos of herself making Victorian inspired clothing
@@alexmcdonnell5137 Ok, thanks
Why, I can actually see the bloody raindrops bouncing up off the street, mum! And, the rat that strolled by was huge.
This reminds me a lot of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
Ayo how u doing? U here too! Rest from the grind 😂
SO IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHOSE HERE BECAUSE OF THE GAME-
El mejor vídeo para mí. Me encanta la lluvia, la noche y estoy obsesionada con la luz cálida de las farolas. Muchas gracias ❤
always had a fascination with old london! i did a past life regression and found out that i once was a girl born in the 1850s in london! i really love this video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Wow that is interesting
Beautiful Work of art, ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING, the background of rain, the bells, horses, walking on footsteps you can literally feel yourself in Victorian England, Victorian England has a mystery about it, in this video would not like to walk alone at night in this era, thank God for the 21st century.
Thank you for the kind comment, Kim! :D I'm so happy you like it!
@@AutumnCozy your most welcome, it is a pleasure, Thank you for taking your most valuable time to read and acknowledge my comment the work of art is just TRULY Stunningly beautiful, I just love graphics and CGI, Victorian England Just fascinates me, anything to do with Victorian England.
@@kimphuong3556 I love it too! It was such an aesthetically beautiful time. I'm writing a book set in that era and have learned so much-enough to make me glad for everything we have in the 21st century! :) Thank you again!
Love Victorian era!!❤
Me too! I've been reading a lot of books set in that time (well, from then through the 20s) and find it one of the most interesting eras to learn about!
@@AutumnCozy which books did you read please i'm curious about this era

Magnificent!
Here in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, there's a historic section called Old Town that reminds me a lot of Victorian London, especially at night.
Storms and streetlights are so peaceful to me so I’m happy to see them together! A very beautiful video, thank you for all your love and hard work! ❤️
I'm glad you enjoyed this one! ❤️
Fantastic layers and incredible imagery
Thank you so much!
@@AutumnCozy your welcome. I especially like the rain and thunder in your enviroments
*I can't open my eyes!*
that's the first thing that crosses my mind as I regain lucidity.
Wagon's
Horse drawn wagons make their way up and down the narrow, mud caked streets.
*A.* *Try to ask for help/ directions*
*B.* *Atempt to act natural*

So many great stories take place in old London and for good reason. It has such an interesting atmosphere. It's especially good for horror stories.
I am the only disabled modern Victorian man left as my twin brother died in utero.
i’m sorry about your brother. i hope you’d just enjoy the video and forget about dark sides of the past 💞
I'm not sure your not telling porky pies.....🤔
I listened to this pretending to be a young lad making jewelry to sell on the streets to help his dying mother. 10/10
This makes think of narrow alleys, with dark nooks and crannies where Jack the Ripper could jump out at any moment! I love true crime, so I mean that in a good way!
I love true crime too! I totally got Jack the Ripper vibes right when I saw the artwork for this! 🎩🇬🇧🕵🏻♀️
I don't like true crime (I like chick lit), but I agree with you that *narrow winding streets and lanes are very pretty.*
Jack the Ripper was my first thought as well! My mom used to tell me he's never been caught so he could still be out there lol 😉

You're so welcome, and happy reading! ☔️🧡
It’s more adventurous that just rain sounds. This is great on the big screen.
