I had over 150 buds on mine. Most balled and looked like burnt onions. Then the whole plant blackspotted.
Stripped it down and gave it a chop.

@@TheRoseGeek The Boogie Down Bronx. Zone 7whatever. Looking east to the right is the east river to the left is western LI Sound.
Its like an armpit.. Its the only rose that misbehaved for whatever reason. Poets wife had that burnt bloom issue as well. I hope it grows out of that.
Emily Bronte I trained like a short climber and tied it into a ball like the demonstration video you did.
It would grow six to eight foot canes with three flowers on top.
Not very appealing. I tied it in a ball over the winter and holy moley it was a three by three ball of pastel for a month.
