Sorry to hear about Monty's. I was going to college in W. Bridgewater in the early 70s and would stop in there all the time to look at the few bikes they had on display. It was a little (kinda grungy) dealership you might be relunctant to even go in asking yourself if it was safe, but they were always nice. As far as work done on the HD, I don't know how they are now, but many years ago I had the top end of my AMF era HD done by Rahn's Motorcycle Engineering in Abington and they did a great job. (They even worked thru the night to finish it and I picked the bike up at 4am since I was heading up to Weirs for bike w/e that day.) re: college. That property around there is getting expensive, so i bet it will be knocked down and made into house lots or condos.
Yeah, Monty's always had a consistently grungy feel. The showroom (still tiny) was cleaner the last time I was in. It looked like it was being taken good care of. I think the Revolution Road H-D moved right in to the existing location. It's such a tiny spot I wonder if they'll end up moving at some point. Wouldn't be the worst idea, as long as it's closer to where I live! It takes me around 45 minutes to get there usually. Rahn's is still in Abington. I reached out to them for a part a couple years ago, but they're still pretty busy! It's pretty hard to get to from where I am now because traffic is always a nightmare. I may have to re-engage with MOMs in Foxboro, which I've tried to avoid, since they are a mega-store, but they're soooo close! Maybe 15 min away.
@@MATTTHEGREETER When Harley's became popular with the rich lawyer crowds, and it wasn't just the 1%er's brand of choice, all the HD dealerships rebuilt and got bigger and added their clothing boutiques in there too. (I remember in the late 80's I had stopped in there to get a part for my bike, and they sure had cleaned up their act compared to what they were like before.) (re: MOMs, I stopped down there years ago when they first moved there but looking at Bugzy's videos they look like they really got huge since then.)
I’d say give MOMS Foxboro another shot. I’ve haven’t been there for maintenance stuff yet but I’ve had such a nice experience dealing with the folks over there.
It's all a part of growing old. At 62, the "gones" are immeasurable. I feel for you taking note of this page in your life.

@@pcthayer They have a warehouse with around 400 used bikes. It's like a candy store! Pretty fun to walk around in it. Lots of different brands, used.
Thank you for the reminder to clear my SD cards!! they are getting very full and I keep procrastinating on that boring stuff 🤪
