There are so many more builds with sort bow you can run 3 builds. you have the double stun/ support with steel tip arrow you have double stun ult so no steel tip arrow you have double poison built with is really nice for heavy armour since you do a lot of passive damage it works even better when you have something like Namkans with also inflicts passive damage basically, the only thing required of a short bow built is rolling escape and only 1 skill is bad that is the parting shot. the poison arrow is only good in compensation with angry hornets
I main Short bow. in season 5, you also get the 5% armor pen stacks just from landing shots on the enemy. so it is always up when you are fighting now. I recommend going pure Agility. If you need more defense, get 15 points into armor, this will save you from a dual blade ult, and let you roll out after, otherwise, i recommend staying on horse unless you are sure their is no Dual blades around. take BOLA, why? bola is a bit harder to use as it has a different arc and takes a second to use, but it is mainly like that so you can use it very easily up close, Bola - can knock enemy off horse, no one expects this and helps my team get many many kills. Bola is a better CC, works vs more enemies more often, many abilities cancel stun/stagger, but not knock down. this is blunt damage, and it is a lot of blunt, it does 2k damage to walls, and artillery, combine with your melee kick which is also blunt. Steel tip or poison (damage, you can use stunning here if u want) Bola, Roll escape, Stagger ult 5 hit . steel tip anti tank, poison anti dual blade + anti healing, stunning shot extra cc for support style. use melee kick 1 hit cancel into 1 bow shot for high burst in melee. also angry hornets sucks. the other ult staggers on each arrow, so you can use it to break pike brace, and let your units be much more effective. or to stun a hero for about second as he gets hit and staggered 5 times, you can stop couple of heroes who are advancing with it as well.
Awesome job man, hope to see more shortbow players popping off cuz of this :D Oh and not sure if i missed it but the reason for shooting a normal arrow between the skills is cuz you interupt the animation and as a result shoot faster cuz of it! One more thing Shade... did you convert to shortbow after playing? ;)
I have been mastering the shortbow for the last month and i wonder if it is worth leveling ultimate to 3 for more damage? I have pretty good crafted armor and weapon already
@@koatmoa613 It's always worth to lvl it up if you main the weapon since it gives a slight boost of damage. But it's not mandatory, you will still do the right amount of damage with a good bow so if you'd prefer to put the pages in an other weapon then go for it.
most underrated class in the game, im suprised that looking on the team leaderboard at the end of the game and seeing shortbows sitting on 7 kills isnt enough for alot of people to try, im yet to go a game without a shortbow kill

Didn't know about the rolling bonus. That was an interesting tip. I tried all classes except maul and short bow has been my favorite for a while (second would be longsword because of heal). I try experimenting without rolling escape for more damage (poison arrow, steel tipped arrow, stunning shot - angry hornets/wrath of artemis). It works well many times. I am still not sure if rolling escape is really necessary. Probably in death match it's too risky to leave it out vs dual blades. Can't make up my mind yet about angry hornets vs wrath of artemis. It seems most people recommend hornets. Never managed to make bola hit consistently so I leave it out. The big downside is no way to break shield walls. This can be frustrating. I like playing with short bow because I can snipe ranged units quite quickly, it's good 1 vs 1 against hero and nice with horse archers. In general, I prefer ranged classes (unless I can heal myself frequently). I don't like musket so much because of the reloading and it being interrupted by rolling and I don't like bow so much because it feels less forgiving when you miss shots and I feel like they are both less good in 1 vs 1 compared to short bow.

Maul is hated because of grab ult. Same goes for dualblades and poleaxe stunlock ult's. The shortbow is not a hated weapon imo, its just one of the hardest to master if you ask me ^_^

This is OP class imo I've played them all and only short bow gets me 5-10 kills per game, poison is a must ☠️😅

Dualblades, poleaxe, shortsword, longsword are best for dueling 1v1 imo :)

Yes double tab a direction key should normally work. (while in battle)
