I don't make instruments, but I have been working with thinner stock and I really like your bridging technique before gluing to get a nice tight joint.

I tried this on two 1/4 inch thick, 6-inch wide boards, and used a 1/4 inch bridge, but it was tighter in the bridge position. than when it "popped" down.flat. Maybe my brigde wasn't tall enough. I just grabbed some clamps and it worked fine. I think the corner to corner distance madee it tighter in the bridge position than when was flat.

I could not decode the name of the glue. Would you please tell me what glue you used?

    Great lesson!
    But,
I would never run 2 pieces over a jointer held by hand. One at a time.

Did you just make the logo on your computer and print it out on ordinary printer paper and use rubber cement ?

I thought he was going to do that too....but I guess the clamp is about as heavy as you can get.

Are you sure you waited until the next day? you're wearing the same shirt. In film making that's called continuity with wardrobe.....LOL!

I didn't notice but would guess that's his "working with glue" shirt....I do the same thing. Why get a clean shirt dirty when you already got the dirty shirt from the day before!!! LOL
