She chose the character as she used to watch them take night time walks, how she watched them be who they truly are. So putting them under her thrall would be pointless as that version of them wouldn't be the one she came to admire. Good work by the way, I just hope the vampire seduction series has a happy ending for all characters.
This is such an effective way to break down resistance. If enough time has passed in captivity, this would almost certainly get to me. It's just so comfy and relaxing, leaving me with no desire to fight the sweet whispers to just give in.
On the one hand, I hate the idea of forced servitude, even if it is just a fantasy scenario. But on the other, I low-key love the struggle the listener character goes through to try and get away. This situation specifically, since the Countess acknowledges our suffering and seems genuinely empathetic to our plight, but is in no way going to alleviate that feeling of helplessness. She sees us as hers and she intends to keep it that way, no matter how much the character hates being there with her. I love this audio, I love the tie-in series, I love you, Dangerous.
