My front guards are wider by the factory for GTS HSV. Despite the subtle variance, it's crucial to recognise that they are not identical. I learned this through firsthand experience and want to ensure you were aware to avoid potential issues.
Great ride there bro, I have the high-end HSV GTS 6.2L Big brakes 6-speed manual coil over all around, same colour as your 2010 model, I have shown it on TikToc, only complaint is the LS3 6.2, I've rebuilt the engine twice, but when it's all running right it's quick it sounds sick as with my standard stainless 3" exhaust, yes that model the 09 has had its faults, the roof lining and other, my car has the GPS maps Bluetooth audio full phone setup with a chatty sound system, also DVD roof console 20"stagerd rims/tyres. The roof lining tends to sag temporarily if you have a small staple gun small staples it buys time until replacement, wait till you have to replace your fuel pump .. lol a nightmare, as the whole rear end has to come down to replace, if/when that happens get someone to have a door under the rear seat area, please be sure to have someone that knows his shit to do it the safe way. Tak3 care, buddy. I hope you still have yours, as they will become a great long-term investment. My one sold for au$84000 it's slowly creeping up to au$70.000. BTW, mine is called a Commodore HSV GTS
3.45 diff from 5gen Camaro and some 20 inch rims with the proper offset and some coilovers does this car justice. And is easy AF to install. And a 5.7 hemi is slower than a Honda accord.
“Handle and perform worse” depends on how you drive. If you just drive the family around then perhaps. But with coil overs performance handling/ cornering is light years better. But with improper wheel offset 20” wheels your ride will be compromised. Stock suspension was way to soft from factory and could not handle weight of this car.
Depends if all stock full modified with turbo 700 hp or so these things will fly but for a 4 door sedan v8 it’s not bad in stock I mean yeh some other cars faster but also lighter n things like that lol

mint car, i worked on the production like making these cars, nice to see me work in the states. i even converted daylie wagon to the G8
2009 G8GT 117k miles. Problems fixed: bad stereo connections, blown rear door speaker, glove box gape, passenger seat sensor, driveshaft carrier bearing, upgraded headlights. Runs and looks great. I've had dozens of guys asking me to sell.

I don't understand what does 20" wheels and coilovers lowering do? Doesn't this make the ride and suspension handle and perform worse??

If you run a Q50 red sport you'd lose. A regular Q50 you might have a shot at if it's not AWD.
