- It's time we delved into the mass destruction of popular culture, starting with Doctor Who and interviewing one of my favourite commentators, Bowlestrek.
Known as “The Angry Canadian” in some circles, Bowlestrek has been one of my favourite popular culture commentators over the years, probably because he loved Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars at least as much as I did.
(Past tense on purpose).
I have watched his brilliant reviews many, many times. His narration of the demise and descent of TV shows and movies that used to mean so much to so many people have been a lighthouse in the dark waters of this spiritual war for me and countless others.
Bowlestrek is up there with the other great media commentators of these times, including Nerdrotic, Heelvsbabyface, Dave Cullen, The Critical Drinker and Disparu. These people are playing an incredibly important role at the moment because they are gathering huge audiences for pointing out what the Critical Drinker calls “The Message” and how this insidious hijacking of our once beloved movie houses and TV screens is undermining society.

As a massive Doctor Who fan, and an openly gay man, I am proud to consider Bowlestrek as a friend. He has been vilified for simply lampooning The Fitzroy Follies, and the wokerati hate him for it. He is none of the things they accuse him of, he is merely a man with exquisite taste (Howard the Duck excluded) and a thinking brain in his head, and he makes me laugh. The world is big enough for all views, and the tiny minority screaming from the trees do not speak for the silent majority that have tuned out of a show we have loved and supported for decades. He speaks for many of us that have been sidelined, told to touch grass, been issued death-wishes, and targeted with some of the foulest harassments you can imagine.
Bowley boy just gets angry every time non white men appear on his screen, he's pretty unhinged!

Hello Mark- from the USA- love you and your show.
What an excellent and enjoyable interview. I remember watching William Hartnell on an old black and white television. The series was fun, scary, innovative and creative - and left one wanting more. Just a comment on the change in character: it is not just those you mentioned, but I have noticed that some family and friends are different, as if they have been brainwashed into a sort of bubble that restricts their reasoning and observation.
No TV for me. Love the old reruns. Thank you for another great video ❤
