[This is content that will not appear in Vs. Sonic.exe. Everything here per viewing has minimal spoilers for a different mod I am creating in relation to Chaotix.]
Hey folks, I wanted to upload and share some of the earlier progress there was for Chaotix done for Vs. Sonic.exe.
This is a recreation of what the original events were from first developing the character here, all of this is recreated in Lua in Psych Engine 0.5.2h at the time of this recording.
To start, originally Chaotix was not going to be Pixel Styled, He started with the idea of doing it in full FNF Style there. I was approached by AnarackWarriors with a cool little Demonstration he did of Chaotix, and thus fell in love with the entire idea of it being fully pixel styled.
He did pretty much all the spritework for Chaotix here, and he also did the new designs (not shown) for another project I am working on.

I find it interesting that he was going to be done in the style of the 32x's sprites, considering that the trailer was done in a style similar to the regular FNF game.

Okay, apparently the sprite work is so good, youtube has mistaken it for the actual Knuckles chaotix.

chaotix is so cool, kinda sad he's not on vs sonic.exe anymore, but reason it's understandable, also, awesome job to all the people that worked on this!
Removed by request of the owner, being shipped over to his own mod. At least it's a better fate than just being completely banned of use.

Interesting to see what Chaotix's sound test week would've looked like! I know that there were leaks of this prior, but its good to see it all the way through. I especially like Beast Chaotix's design here- the pixel art is done very nicely and really captures that element of insanity. Shame to see it go, but cool nonetheless!
Man I love how BF and GF are in the Chaotix/32x style in a way
I know heck they even have the weird and annoying ring things you use in the game that just great details I noticed
They did the same style for another character as well, Fatal Error.
Chaotix's shaking in his idle anim is so well done as if it was in a traditional fnf style
first prey song and now this is removed, its so sad to see everyone put so much effort into this and just throw it away.
It will be included in VS Chaotix, a seperate mod

sad to see the controversy which lead to them getting removed from the sonic.exe mod. atleast we're getting vs chaotix.

knuckles chaotix is such a cool game, nice to see it got represented in and bf and gf having tether rings is also a good reference

I really love all the little Faker-esque subtle differences in Chaotix's design that make him look just slightly wrong from the real Knuckles
- Colors are obviously a little bit wrong
- No crest on chest (or at least a much less noticeable one)
- Individual fingers on hands
- Shoes are Sonic's shoes and not Knuckles'
- Shorter dreadlocks
- Rounded/no knuckle spikes (the "full resolution" art shows rounded spikes but this pixel art appears to have no spikes)
probably my favorite detail about him thoug is his eyes. His pupils are always narrowed straight down his nose, which obviously makes him have a very angry, focused-looking expression… Until you realize it's _one big pupil shared across both "eyes"_ and the appearance of having two separate eyes is just an illusion. It's really a great touch.

I am very happy that this content will become a single mod with potential, but then only chaotix will be in this mod? Is all that will appear in the mod all the content discarded from chaotix, or is it possible that ALL the content discarded from the mod will appear? (It would be cool if they included the Prey song in the mod, but we'll see what happens :)) is it like an expansion of vs sonic.exe apart? Will it be the same as the original mod? How long have you been in development? When will it be released, before or after Vs Sonic.exe? sorry for asking so many questions😅😅

It’s based off of a glitch in knuckles chaotix caused by accessing the beta code of tails still leftover in the game files

I actually prefer this version. As the black goop all over Chaotix's body is reminiscent of the original Wechnia sprite. People often forget the black's and grey's in his color pallet.
Well that’s because he was probably a disguise of Monster Tails and then revealed himself though this could be a theory
after seeing the recent resprite of the second phase, i kinda like this phase 2 sprite better, the new one looks weird honestly, though i like the new phase 1 sprite
