The best guitar i bought in last 15 years, i like the lester more then my 79 Les Paul Standard. Sound and Quality are stunnig.

What strats you used before?
I love it! I recently purchased a Teleman T54, it is just stunning!
I used to play G....n-Guitars and my older ones are hard to beat. But the Maybachs can compare easily. The Lesters are sweet-sounding monsters - fat 50s-neck and the Amber-humbuckers - delicate. I ordered a black Lester with P90 a couple of month ago - can't wait any longer... just a joke. Great Guitars!!

Je suis tenté. Marre de Gibson, du prix excessifs et des finitions merd…. J’ai déjà eu 7 Gibson. 4 avaient des problèmes. J’en ai gardé que 2. Mais des les Paul. J’ai une SG PRS qui n’en ai pas vrai une. Les micros se ternes.
Played one of your Lester models and just wow. Very classy guitar. Fit and finish is just top tier.

Maybach Lesters are supposed to have solid bodies but at 2:01 in the video I see a chambered / weight relief body? Just curious... I bought one a week ago and I absolutely love it.
Hi Patrick, the Little Wing is constructed as a Thinline not as a solid body.

The Sound of a Les Paul Custom Shop is ways better. But the maybachs are better than the USA standarts.

No it’s not better than a Gibson. It’s a copy at the same time it’s the same price. Tokais , ect ect ect. They are not. I’ve had em all. Gibson like or hate the management they are the best. End of. The Gibson sound cannot be copied.

I keep coming back for the song played at 2:17. Absolute killer tone. I bet its a Marshall you played the guitar through, but which one? Do you know what pedals where used?
Look guys, don't take this the wrong way. Your guitars may be reasonably priced, whatever that means, but you have GOT to invest in a copywriter/translator who speaks actual English. I've worked in advertising in a German speaking country for many years, and I can immediately identify this over-the-top German/English gibberish, clearly translated word-by-word, peppered with superlatives and riddled with mistakes. Trust me. "... to make a further guitarist a happy guitarist." that's not English. That's bullshit. I'm sure your guitars are great. They deserve better.
Hallo Johannes, Danke für deinen Kommentar, über den wir schon, um ehrlich zu sein, einigermaßen verwundert sind. Die Übersetzung wurde von unserem englischen Vertrieb aus Birmingham gemacht. Das sind allesamt native midland guys. Was da gibberish sein soll ist mir nicht ganz klar.
@@tonigoetz1972 Hallo Toni. Vielen Dank für Deine Antwort. Ich muss mich als erstes für meinen schnoddrigen Tonfall entschuldigen. Okay, ich hab mir das Video noch einmal angeschaut, und meine Meinung hat sich nicht geändert. Als Deutscher mit Englischkenntnissen hört man einfach in fast jedem Satz, dass das Wort für Wort übersetzt ist. (Profi-Übersetzer sind Leute, die den Text in der anderen Sprache "nachempfinden", nicht unbedingt wörtlich übertragen.) Als kleines Beispiel: Der Satz, an dem ich Anstoss genommen habe, würde meiner Meinung nach von einem englischsprachigen Texter eher so klingen: "At the end of the process, every guitar is fine tuned to perfection to make one more guitarist very, very happy." Irgendwie so. Ich stelle aber die ganze Superlativ-Texterei in Frage. Ich würde mich mehr auf die Bildsprache verlassen. Die Gitarren und Euer Herstellungsprozess sehen super lecker und kompetent aus, da muss man sich nicht in jedem Untertitel selbst loben. Was Text unter Videos angeht, weniger is meistens mehr. Man könnte die wesentlichen Punkte stichwortartig auflisten, das würde den Zuschauerinnen mehr Gelegenheit geben, sich auf die Bilder zu konzentrieren. Nochmal sorry für mein Gemotze. Eines Tages werde ich mir eine Lester leisten!
@@JohannesLabusch hi Johannes, ein Profi-Übersetzer (Englisch-Nativespeaker) meldet sich zu Wort.
Deine pauschale Bewertungen kann ich beim besten Willen nicht nachvollziehen. Dass der Text "riddled with mistakes" sei stimmt schlicht und ergreifend nicht - es gibt EINE EINZIGE grammatikalische Ungereimtheit (soll "Nitro lacquer giveS..." heißen bei 3:25); darüber hinaus gab es lediglich ein paar Winzigkeiten, die ich nicht mal weiter erwähnenswert sind. Von "Gibberish" kann aber hier wirklich keine Rede sein und was die Anmerkung "peppered with superlatives" angeht.... naja, da weiß ich einfach nicht welchen Text Du da gelesen hast. Wortwahl ist eben das was es ist: eine Wortwahl - der eine wird's so sagen, der andere sagt es anders.
Der Clip (der nur knapp 5 Minuten lang ist nach Abzug des An-/Abspanns) soll mit wenigen Worten informativ sein und hier schafft es Maybach meiner Meinung nach sehr gut, die wesentlichen Komponenten, ihre Herkunft und die Hauptarbeitsschritte schön kurz und bündig zu schildern und zwar so, dass die Bilder (die hier die Hauptrolle spielen, da sie - und nicht der Text - tausende Worter sprechen) aus meiner Sicht perfekt ergänzt werden. Es ist nicht die Aufgabe eines Übersetzers etwas zu schreiben, was im ursprünglichen Text nicht vorhanden war und schon gar nicht, diesen auf Kosten seines Informationswertes zu kürzen.
Was mich bei diesem Video vielmehr gestört hat war die Erkenntnis, dass im Custom Shop Bosch Grün verwendet wird - hier kann ich wohl als Mindeststandard erwarten, dass die Schraubenlöcher meines Pickguards mit einem Bosch Blau oder Festool Akkuschrauber vorgebohrt werden. Ich bin erschüttert und überlege mir nun ernsthaft doch keine Maybach Capitol zuzulegen.
(Achtung: der letzte Absatz ist tatsächlich riddled with mistakes - eigentlich mit schlichten Unwahrheiten - und vereinzelten Superlativen) ;)
@@cathalwhelehan Der grosse Humorist Loriot hat schon vor Jahrzehnten deutsches Verkaufs-Gefasel perfekt bloss gestellt ("Die Herrschaften dürfen gern einmal probeliegen.") Dieser Stil ist offenbar nicht totzukriegen, und "Profi-Übersetzer" treten auf den Plan, ihn mit Klauen und Zähnen zu verteidigen. Was den Humor-Versuch angeht, don't quit your day job.

I like em a lot, I played a couple of Lesters and it’s great value for the money, certainly better than the Gibson LP Standards. Anyway my ‘59 Reissue wipes the floor with both of them. Can’t compare em even if I wish I could, the reissue has so much more depth in tone. Btw. not every reissue is good, i played some really bad ones, but when you hand out a couple of grands you damn right test a lot of them and pick the best. If I had to choose between a Lester and a LP Standard it would be Maybach for me and I could spend the leftover grand on other nice stuff and that’s because they are built more consistently and they sound great. Otherwise i would buy a Gibson because Maybach at the end of the day are basically just knockoffs of well established, timeless guitars.

Bin stolzer Besitzer einer Little Wing non arch cutaway. War die einzige, die ich kriegen konnte. Es ist die Gitarre, die man im Web auf vielen Bildern sieht.Aber eigentlich hätte ich gerne eine Archtop ohne cutaway mit P90. Kann man die irgendwie über den Handel oder direkt bestellen, lieber Toni. Die Gitarren bieten viel und was mir wichtig ist, ist Sustain und Ton. Die Amber PUs sind wirklich toll und die P94 sind unschlagbar, besser als die gehypten Lollar, die ich in ner Eastman habe. Würde mich über eine Antwort freuen.

@@tonigoetz1972 Nun ist sie da, 2 Monate früher als ausgemacht, echt geiles Teil, die ich mir hauptsächlich wegen des Aussehens bestellt habe. Aber sie klingt auch toll und das beste ist, dass ich sie sogar bis zum letzten Bund bespielen kann, fast genauso wie mit cutaway.

Yes, these guitars have the weight relief done to the LP models. Leider. Ich würde ernsthaft erwägen, eine zu kaufen, aber ich kann einfach nicht verstehen, warum jemand Löcher aus dem Körper einer Les Paul herausschneiden will. Kommt mir wie eine Verschwendung von Holz vor und verbessert den Klang auch nicht. Wenn man eine Les Paul mit 4 kg nicht spielen kann, muss man etwas anderes spielen, oder?
Wir bohren nicht einfach planlos Löcher in einen Body. Ganz so einfach haben wir des uns dann doch nicht gemacht. Das ganze hat ein recht ausgefuchstes System, das wir in knapp zwei Jahren entwickelt haben. Das verwendete Konstruktionsmerkmal hat klare Vorteile in punkto Sound. Es verbessert das Sustain, die Ansprache der Gitarre, die Auflösung (Transparenz) beim Akkordspiel und ganz nebenbei hat die Gitarre ein sehr angenehmes Gewicht.
@@tonigoetz1972 Ich verstehe. Darf ich fragen, ob diese Behauptungen empirisch beobachtet worden sind? Das heißt getested beim vielleicht ein Toningenieur oder so?

Die Gitarre springt sofort an wenn man sie anspielt, ist bissig, dazu singt und singt sie wie Hölle.
Wer unbedingt das Original haben will und etwas mehr ausgeben will, soll es tun
Doch um eine richtig geile Gitarre zu spielen, die lebendig ist, da kannst du ohne Bedenken zu einer Maybach greifen und der Rest ist in den Fingern.
Geiler Job den ihr macht.

Es lohnt sich eine abzuspielen.
Allein diese Volumepotis sind super, weil sie beim leise drehen keine Frequenzen schlucken und das machen meine Custom Tele und Gretsch schon ein wenig. Die Höhen bleiben einfach erhalten.
Der Hals ist dick aber irgendwie genau richtig und hab keine Pranken und keine kleinen Hände.

Les Pauls with such a heavy weight relief ? Absolute NoGo !! A guy who can't handle 4 Kg weight, should buy something else instead of a Les Paul.

The gatekeeping in the guitar world is alive and well. I bet you all the money in the whole wide world that you wouldn’t be able to hear a difference between a chambered and a non chambered Les Paul in a blind test. Get off your high horse and let people play what feels good to them.

They are indeed great guitars, but Maybach needs to do a MUCH better job at their quality control. I played a brand new one in a store and the high E was practically dead through the neck pickup...
Was that the only Maybach you‘ve ever touched?
I completely agree. After researching this Brand, I purchased a Maybach Lester Edelweiss. After receiving it, I noticed many issues. The neck angle was off causing the tail piece to be very high so the strings would clear the back edge of the bridge. The neck itself was supposed to be a long tenon but it was a short pocket tenon. I reached out the to the company and got no response. (They should change their website). The back edge of the neck pickup cavity was reshaped after the guitar was finished/painted as noted by the bare wood and saw dust everywhere including down in the control cavity. I can only guess that the neck was too far rearward when glued and the pickup and ring assembly wouldn't fit. ALL of the pickup ring screws were installed at various angles and most were stripped. ( you can see how the operator in the video uses a hand drill to create pilot holes). In fact, one of the bridge pickup ring screw locations had two holes. The nut was narrower than the fretboard and shifted to one side causing uneven string positioning to the edge of the fretboard. The nut wasn't sitting flush to the headstock and fretboard edge either. The router edge of the pick guard had a skip/gouge near the control knobs. None of the control cavities were sitting flush to the body because the machining counterbore does not include offset for the shielding tape thickness. I also had control electronics issues but those may have been caused by shipping. Fortunately, I purchased this guitar through a well known dealer with a great return policy. This will be the only Maybach I ever touch.
