    Do you need to run the filter with the chemconnect and do you leave it on the return section for a while

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  7 месяцев назад

      I replaced the return outlet with chemconnect. So yes, i run the filter with chemconnect and I never have to remove it.

    Hi there. Does it matter what brand of chlorine 1 inch tablets you use? I can only find the HTH brand. I don’t want to buy a big bucket of them.

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Год назад +1

      Nope. You can use any brand.

      Great. Thank you. How many tablets would I need for a pool that holds around 6021 gal to 7000gal?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Год назад

      You can put as many as you want and adjust the level to be released to keep your chlorine to the level you need.

    How do you clean your pool? Step by step

      You mean how to keep it clean?
      1. Make sure you have proper CYA level.
      2. Make sure you have Chlorine between 1-5opm.
      3. Keep PH level between 7.2 - 7.8
      4. Keep your Alkalinity in check.
      Check my pool playlist. I have shared a lot of tips about pool maintenance here.

    can i add Chlotrine in powder like or must be tablets

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  5 месяцев назад

      This for tablets. Granular chlorine are fast dissolving so you simply broadcast it around your pool.

    If my water is getting dirty can we use bleaching powder or alum in this

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  2 года назад

      I am not familiar with what is in it so I have not tried it. I would stick with chlorine. You can also add borax to make your chlorine more effective. Search for BBB method.

    • @diymanual

      I'm not sure this will float for a long time cause water can get inside.

    How long do you run your pump per day with the chemconnect?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  2 года назад +3

      Minimum 8 hours. I have a 530gph pump and the guideline is to run the pump for 2 complete water turnover so for my 2,000 gallon pool I will need to run it at least 8 hours.

    I had no idea there were 1" tabs - I'm sure like the bromine stuff tabs they are much more expensive. So I just get a regular tab and bash it until it breaks and put some of the pieces in the dispenser. Well, that's what I used to do. Now I just add a splash of chlorine into the tub after every use and every few days. If I'm leaving town for a while I'll turn off the heat, leave the pump on and add a couple of ounces or so of chlorine. Make sure your filter is clean - you don't want the system erroring out and stopping the pump although if the heat is off, the lid is on, and you had plenty of Cl to start with you'll be fine. Worse thing that happens is you're away two weeks and have to change out the water when you come back.
    One other tip - add borates or boric acid. It's very effective at stabilizing pH, makes the water silky smooth, and is a natural algaecide.

    Why do you put the chlorine where the filters go? I don’t see anyone else doing that. What about the 3rd filter valve?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Год назад +1

      Chemconnect is installed in water going into the pool there is no filter there. It is designed for chlorine dispersement.

      Mine had 2 connectors that pulls the water in on B side. Where u put the chemconnect I had a different valve to push the clean water out. I had 3 valves total. Did you not? It’s the same pool so I’m confused 🤔.

    • @sophiagalvan4338
      @sophiagalvan4338 Год назад +1

      Does it still push water out through the chemcnnect? Did you just put the 3rd valve aside that the pool came with?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Год назад +3

      @@sophiagalvan4338 Hi. My pool comes with 3 valves (2 B valve where the water is pulled out of the pool and 1 "A" valve where the water goes back into the pool). It also comes with 3 gray screen (2 for the B and 1 for A) and 1 chemconnect. If you want to use the chemconnect, you replace the gray screen on the "A" side where the water goes back into the pool with the chemconnect.
      The chemconnect is considered an add-on so you can choose to use it or leave it in the box.

    doesnt heat the water as much as id like it to but it still was worth the $13 for it.

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Год назад

      ChemConnect is not designed to heat up your pool water. It is simply a chlorine dispenser. If you want to heat up the water you will need something like this: ruclips.net/video/Zpumqa-loRI/видео.html

      It is not recommended because it is hard on your lungs if you accidentally inhale the powder pieces.
