U have a timer on this pool pump? I always have to hit the reset button the next day to restart pump with the timer i have. Wonder if i should get new timer. Anyone else have this issue?
I have the same pump and for some reason it does not push out very good pressure :( I’ve backwashed and tried everything I can go get any air out. I’m at a loss.

will this work on our bestway/coleman powersteel 18ft, 6700 gal....? the pump that came with it just is not doing the job moving the water...keep getting green, even keeping the chlorine in check and all...
Yes, but you might need to check the size of the hole.

I have a million dollar question… I run the pump in the nights, when I power off the filter do I need to switch it to off position Everytime?
If you have additional power timers you don't have to, but if you do you would have to manual hit the reset button.
My connection A to the pool will not stop leaking no matter what i do! Help!!!

You can add chemicals while the system is on, I do this without a problem.
Hi i have Intex 488x122 and they gave Me random filter system so i need buy sand filter system or no? Couse i think sand filter is 10x more better than random filter.

Yes you can I did this just for the backwash because I wanted to control the water run off.

for good cleaning using the water passing through the san and pushing water through from one end to another.
Manual says less than 8psi
Whenever I turn the pump back on after backwashing and rinsing it shoots REALLY dirty water back into the pool. 😫 HELP.
Review your connection
Make sure you turn the pump off when changing setting. And always rotate the handle in a clockwise direction. Always.
I have everything connected but when I turn it on it leaks out the sides of the ring at the top of the sand tank? What is the cause?
Maybe the gasket was never properly seated before it was tightened
Do you have rubber gaskets installed at all connections?
I can’t get my flange clamp to fit over both lips of the sand chamber

i had a lot of problems too- needed to use clamps to squeeze it together and it still leaka!

I bought this Bestway pool with that pump and had a defected pump was a headache to get another one from them. But awesome video because the instructions suck!
Do you run this pump 24 hours a day? I set mine up and it only lasted a month before it burnt up?
Other video I saw the guy only did it 3 hours a day. Maybe 4 if pool was being heavily used.
I run mine during the day an average of 8 hrs.
@@koski94austin3 to 4 hours is probably not enough. Minimum should be 8 hrs.
Do you have to water to the sand? Or can I just put the sand?
Yes to make sure the sand is even and to the line, did you see the video? if you need more info I have another video of a index filter that is similar to this take a look at it and see if this helps.
I want to know too… my pump the sand is filled to the max line.. so how much water do i add to the sand ?
Add some water to the tank before adding sand. It helps absorb the shock of the weight of the sand on top of the spider web thing in the bottom of the tank. And be sure to use the cover thing that comes with the filter to keep sand out of the center tube.

Yes but make sure it's a heavy use it can't be a regular home version because I had issues with the breaker

don't know the exact weight but I have 2 1/2 bags on the filter
Sir i have a question does this sand filter also drains the water of the pool ? Completely or it doesn't like there will be remaining like 10% water remaining
And while u r using it how often do u need to drain water from pool and refill it again??
You can drain the water with the backwash but not recommended

@@bluejays23 no worries I keep mine on all the time not a danger only a tripping hazer on the outside. I keep myself on all the time the kids are in the pool to filter dirt and any loose particles kids bring with dirty feet and dead skin.

Not loud after 10 feet away but it is loud similar as a washing machine noise.

Sand wan not included you can buy it a hardware store or pool stores.
anyone else having problems with water coming out the sides of the pump - where the bolts are? i tried to tighten as much as i can but water still come out

Clamp may not be installed correctly, it has to be just right.
I use glass instead of sand. It last almost forever and is filtering smaller particles 🙂

What type of glass
The best is AFM but I just use the glass from swim and fun. It's cheaper and in my experience it works fine 😊

Any hardware store that has pool stuff, Bestway or Amazon.
Any place that sales Dirt usually sells sand. If not go to Lowe’s
Rural King, Lowes, Home Depot. Maybe Walmart. Or a pool store like valley pools and spas.

I had a grey film in bottom of pool I thought was dirt but it was sand from pool what kind of sand did you use
@@debsmith2015 Did you buy pool filter sand? And did you use the rinse setting at your first startup? You must rinse the sand then use the setting that levels the sand before setting the pump on filter.

Add a holes and look for the arrow on the top of the controller

Those are a substitute for the sand just not as good
