I can’t wait till our world gets back to normal. I was supposed to come to Japan this year for my 50th birthday. Watching your videos and your excitement helps to keep my hopes up. I’ve also added new experiences from your videos to my list.
Wow, by my calculations after pausing the video on each package, you got 1142 grams for 10,000 yen - that is an amazing deal. Glad you were able to support local farmers that are struggling and give Satoshi an opportunity to try A5.
That is the happiest I've ever seen Satoshi! 😁 Your reactions to the Yonezawa Beef are making even this vegetarian salivate! (I think everything from Yamagata is wonderful--including boyfriends. 😉) Love to you both. ❤️
All that wagyu for $100 is a ridiculously cheap price considering some of the prices I've seen for just 100 grams of the stuff. You guys got a great deal.
Carrie Padgett there are man grades from different regions. The one they had is some of the best since it’s A5, but Kobe Beef (From Kobe) is the best of the best of Wagyu.
@@WornDownSaint kobe is considered the best by those outside of Japan. For Japanese Matsusaka, and Ohmi (especially the first) are even better and alot more expensive. While you can easily find kobe even as streetfood to cater to foreigners, matsusaka and ohmi are only served at high end restaurants, specially gyu restaurants and butchers.
It made me happy to watch Satoshi and Shinichi take such pleasure in an amazing product, helping the farmers is such a good way to ensure their future. Here's to many more videos where you both get to enjoy such exquisite ingredients. You both deserve the best !
The best thing about this video is not the food, even though it is amazing. The best part is the happiness of you guys, enjoying this together! I love seeing you happy!
Love watching the reaction when you guys eat the meat! You two seem so happy hehe 😍 I want to try this type of wagyu! I have only tried Kobe before, and it was really good.
In the US it is generally considered not entirely safe to eat raw egg because we wash our eggs, which makes them look nicer but tends to hide any disease the chicken has and also leads to faster spoilage because it removes a protective barrier. It's mostly only a problem with people who are extra vulnerable to catching food borne illness. You can get around it by finding pasteurized eggs to eat raw. They are heated at a low enough temperature not to cook, but for long enough to remove pathogens. You can also find unwashed free range eggs from some vendors at farmers' markets (just don't boil them in the same water as your broccoli). Eggs at supermarkets are legally mandated to be washed, AFAIK.
I love sukiyaki. I've only eaten it once in my life time to today. Back in 1976 when I was an 11th grader. Our soccer club went to play a club from Kansai High School in Osaka. Our team was hosted by the other team for our stay. The host mother made sukiyaki for dinner. I remember it so well. I dream of eating it again.
So happy for you guys 😄Because we have been cooking almost all of our meals at home, we can afford to splurge on ingredients sometimes. I think it's great that you're able to help out the farmers in this way.
I have to admit, this beef looked soooooo different and top notch! It made me hungry just watching! You guys are just a great couple, love your vibes brothers. the excitement at trying this made me want to try.
Love Satoshi’s joyful expression. I have never have this type of beef. It looks so good. Love Shinichi’s hair style. Thank you for the recipe of the sauce.
You guys are the best. These videos are so great and uplifting. I wish you were my neighbours. Thank-you for all your lessons and demonstrations. They are very inspiring and I appreciate you so much.
As a traveller who visit Japan often and love wagyu, I had tried Kobe beef, Kagoshima beef, Hida beef, and Tajima beef before (all very pricey lol). Definitely looking forward to try Yonezawa beef too!
Hi guys. I haven't commented in a long time. I just wanted to say hi. Love the video (videos). Your videos always make me happy. You are such good people and I love just watching you two interact. You guys are true love and companionship, the best flavors in life. You're always in our hearts. Love you.
This reminds me so much of when my grandmother would make sukiyaki for us when I was little - albeit not with A-5 grade beef. :) Wonderful video, as always. You both always bring a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing!
That is a very very good deal. To see you both enjoy the meat so much make me very happy. I never eat this dish, it looks delicious. I hope you will make a dish with the 2 other meat and film it. Thank you for sharing this very happy video.
When I was in Japan, I had Kobe wagyu (when I visited Kobe) and Tokachi wagyu (when I visited Hokkaido). I had enjoyed Tokachi wagyu more than Kobe wagyu. But for $100USD I had less portion that your Yonezawa wagyu, which I am so envious of because what a steal! I only had the ribeye sections and I salivated over your galbi. When I get a chance I need to definitely try Yonezawa wagyu! Thank you letting me enjoying your delight over this meal.
I asked you guys a while ago and you didn't respond but I just watched your interview and I congratulate you guys and also I'm sorry for what you had to go through I myself I'm not in that life I feel whatever makes anyone happy is what makes you happy and congratulations watching Interview and hear what you guys had to say almost killed me for you guys want through many many years of happiness rain down upon you
The way you guys describe that meat is killing me haha it makes me want to eat it so badly! Yum!!! We never eat beef because of the expense here in Oregon USA. So I only ever eat ground beef which is nothing compared to this!
When I lived in Japan I had the chance to try Kobe and Matsuzaka beef, but I never had Yonezawa beef. I definitely want to try it! The other two are probably more known to us Westerners (especially Kobe) because those wagyu are from Kansai, which is more centrally located than Yonezawa.
Satoshi's gleeful "Arrived!" at the beginning is everything.

Haha, exactly my thoughts, including the vegetarian and the boyfriend part. 😅
I'm even more jealous for all the glorious veggies. 😉
Agreed on both the bf part and the happiness part!
All that wagyu for $100 is a ridiculously cheap price considering some of the prices I've seen for just 100 grams of the stuff. You guys got a great deal.
I didn't know there were different types of Wagyu, maybe that had something to do with it

I know right? I was thinking about double the price and didn't even know there were three plates of meat inside the box!
@@WornDownSaint kobe is considered the best by those outside of Japan. For Japanese Matsusaka, and Ohmi (especially the first) are even better and alot more expensive. @@kleung9486 Yes. I was going to say that Kobe beef isn't necessarily the best. It is just the most famous.
Satoshi is so cute when he say, "Arrived ! Arrived!" 😍😍 enjoy
10:54 Too funny! i thought Satoshi was going to lay his chin down on the table! dude's in heaven! Helping out the home town!

Fair price for such high quality! One day I'll taste this in Japan.
Satoshi’s excitement through out the video is so cool, you can tell he was craving this lol 😆
Love watching the reaction when you guys eat the meat! You two seem so happy hehe 😍 I want to try this type of wagyu! I have only tried Kobe before, and it was really good.
👀That beef looks super delicious! 😱😋 Believe me, once you go to eat wagyu, you can’t ever go back to the “regular beef” again.
I like how the format of this video is a little bit different to the other videos. Satoshi's reaction at the beginning was so cute.

Also, I am totally using your sauce recipe, Satoshi. I may have to do a 'low rent' version with some Canadian beef. :-D
Canadian beef is pretty damn good too!
Seems like a good amount of beef for the price.
Thank you Chef Satoshi! You make everything so delicious in the "Tabieats Restaurant"! YUMMY! I hope to try some one day❤
I love it, Satoshi is so happy he’s giddy 😁
Thank you Satoshi and Shinichi!! Because of COVID I cant see my mom as much so we watch your videos together remotely. Now we are craving sukiyaki!!!!

Looks fantastic...and those green onions are HUGE! They're pretty puny in the states from what I find...enjoy!
It looks more like a leek
Satoshi said it was negi. A different type of green onion, not leek or scallions
Satoshi’s excitement to try the meat = ❤️❤️❤️ hope you guys are doing well! sending love and thanks from Portland, Oregon 🙏🏻

10:40 🤣 The glee in Satoshi's voice he's so excited to try the beef goodness, sounds like a kid in a candy store.
I like when you order these interesting high quality ingredients and then cook!
I learned to eat it with the raw egg in Japan ... sweet goodness! At home, we lightly poach it alongside everything else.
I would love to help out the farmers too if they ship to the USA
Satoshi looks very happy!! 😊
Those look really good! I’m drooling eventhough I just ate dinner 😋
Another great video that made me hungry while I watched it.

Beefgasm...😋🤤 The sukiyaki looks yummy too, I wish I had a Satoshi to cook for me, everything he makes looks oishi.
Seems like a good deal for that amount! And look how excited Satoshi San is! ❤️
