Also tried a Taylor GS Mini and a Martin LX1E and gotta say, the Cort blew me away. I sat playing it, like you with a huge smile on my face. It just felt cheeky and a lot of fun...which I didn't get form either the Martin or the Taylor. So thank you.. For your passion and your positive attitude! Great guitar, mine also came with a really cute olive green canvas gig bag, perfect for travelling. Thanks again and I will SUBSCRIBE!!
bought a cort earth mini based on this review... 6 months later.. I can not put this guitar down!!.. brilliant little guitar.. punches way above its weight..!!
I also love your enthusiasm and guitar playing. You give great reviews without showing off your incredible talent. Thank you you are refreshing to listen to. Cheers from Canada!
I've had a taylor GS mini and the yamaha mini, and I really prefer the smaller body yamaha that was only like $140...but I'm grabbing this cort come payday on friday. The mini's are just more comfortable and personally I think sound fantastic. Also cort was my first electric and I loved that thing. Back to cort it is. Great demo!
Thanks a lot jarvis for this review after long 9 years I just bought my cort earth mini op! It is an awesome guitar but might need a fine set up by a luthier and bone nut and saddle and bone pins upgrade 🙏🏻
oh sorry! my mistake. thanks for your answer! so I will hear the video again, it's always a pleasure to hear you play, and to get the good vibrations you send us at the end of each video :)
Jarvis - your playing is superb and you make that little Cort guitar sing! You've sold me on this guitar although I am buying at a local shop here in Florida. One is for my Grandson for Christmas and I think I'll get one for me as well. What a deal for $200! Thanks for posting this review and I look forward to seeing your other posts too. Take care.
Jarvis you rock!! "Live with passion and grace" - I love that. This definitely looks like a nice alternative to the baby taylor or little martin since it's hard to justify paying that much for something you're likely going to travel with and knock about a fair bit! So thanks - this review was just what I needed!!
I've played all 3, and to me the Baby Taylor is best, by bar. The other two are ok, too, and if price is a major consideration, then it's Cort you want.
The apx t2 is even smaller than cort ad mini. I played both and the apx sounded low in volume. The cort earth mini sounds a lot better than apx but for cort ad mini its not the case. The ad mini and apx both sound really good in their own way. Maybe both are small but both of completely different. The cort ad mini is more of a singer songwriter guitar and apx is something really unique. If looks are not concerned you should go for the cort ad mini. But keep in mind the apx may look awkward to some people but its a really recognizable guitar and also kind of a collector’s item.
Hello, thanks for your video. I'm from argentina from a town where I can't play this guitar to compare with other that I want... I have to go to the capital city haha. Anyway... what do you thing of this guitar campared with the taylor gs mini? thanks
Tis guitar is very good n value for money... I bought tis for my son 7yrs old... Swee lee sell at a nett price for only $195 ... Less than half d price of an baby taylor..
Good Stuff. I have one of these. I am interested to know what you replaced the saddle with. You mentioned you changed the plastic one? Good review and thorough
great review as usual! I like the detailed description of the guitar, but you never talk about the strings. is there a reason ? what is your favorite brand for strings ?
Love your guitar reviews....have you played the mahogany cort earth mini and do you think you could do a review on the mahogany top as a comparison to the spruce top? Keep up the great work!
hello and good day jarvis. i aleady have this guitar for over a year now. by the way, this video review that you made opted me to buy one. i just wan't to ask, what pickup would you recommend if i decide to convert my earth mini into an acoustic/electric? i can't decide for myself yet, as i don't want to effect the acoustic sound by cutting the body to house a preamp/battery case that comes with most electronics. i've been considering a k&k pure mini though. hope you could find time to answer my question. thanks and godbless.
Hi how do u think of the new cort with Adirondack Spruce with Dellinia back and sides? I havent heard of it before? what sound properties do you think It will give? Amazing price given solid top Adirondack with a pickup :) Is the price worth over Engelmann as shown in this video?? Thanks!
Does the Cort earth mini have an Engelmann spruce top? From what I've gathered the Open pore has a sitka and the 'natural' has the Engelmann. Does anyone know
Thanks man! You helped me a lot in my decision. If I ever will be in singapore I will come in your store to buy a guitar!! By the way. Do you think the difference between the Cort Mini and the Martin is big? I never can't play both successive. Cheers!
Swee Lee has this and the Epiphone Expedition, which is also a 3/4 Dread. Not sure if you have played it but if yes, which one would be a better choice? :)
I want to buy one and put an lrbaggs pickup or something in it, do you think that would work? I know the mini matrons come with pickups and sound divine but I don't want to spend $1000 on a matron one. What do you think?
Im a beginner looking for a small guitar. Was wondering if this is tuned to E or A, because I noticed that some smaller sized guitars are tuned to A. Thanks!
Hey what are the songs you are playing? Sounds great, and pretty much what I'd like to learn next, I want learn a bit more advanced accompaniment patterns, I sing.
aakash patil it’s a small guitar and to me the normal Sitka would sound more responsive as the Adi TOP will be very stiff .. so takes a Long time to open up unless you have lots of patience.
Hi, does this guitar need setting up after purchase? I'm a beginner looking for an inexpensive guitar with good action. My current guitar is a beginner squier that most probably need a setup coz I'm having trouble on power chords in the lower strings (mainly the high e) and F chord. Having weak thumb doesn't help either. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hey Jarvis, what gauge strings do you recommend for this guitar? Thinking of buying this Cort for someone who is starting to play guitar, and has relatively small hands. I want Elixirs so they stay alive a little longer but I'm not sure about the size, what would fit the best? Thanks
Clagratte My child prefere nylon string guitars instead of steel string guitars. For a six year old child a 1/2 size classic guitar would be the best choice.
I bought this guitar this guitar yesterday and the dealer gave me a pair of Daddario EJ16 strings instead of EXP16 and told me that EJ16 was better sounding...
Hi Jarvis! I'm thinking of getting one of these, and I wish I could get it from you straight so you can get it setup for me, but I'm not in Singapore. :( So if I'm getting one, what are the list of setups should I include? :)
Also tried a Taylor GS Mini and a Martin LX1E and gotta say, the Cort blew me away. I sat playing it, like you with a huge smile on my face. Which one would you recommend based off of sound, the Cort Earth Mini, Baby Taylor, or Martin LX1?
I've played all 3, and to me the Baby Taylor is best, by bar. The other two are ok, too, and if price is a major consideration, then it's Cort you want.

that is just great ...enjoy your new babe

Hey I am looking to get a traveler guitar. I saw the "Harley Benton DS-10 Mini" Can you please tell me what did you hear about this mini guitar?
Gr8 job on the review. The guitar sounds very good.
I just ordered a Cort Mini.
the Cort Mini sound fuller and yes its super cheap plus the engelman top makes it sound warmer yet louder
Any difference between Cort Earth Mini and Cort Earth Mini OP?
good day buddy.
can you give me your advice which one is better: Yamaha APX-T2 or Cort AD mini.
thanks in advance
The apx t2 is even smaller than cort ad mini. I played both and the apx sounded low in volume. The cort earth mini sounds a lot better than apx but for cort ad mini its not the case. Love your guitar reviews....have you played the mahogany cort earth mini and do you think you could do a review on the mahogany top as a comparison to the spruce top? Keep up the great work!

Earth Mini and Baby Taylor, which has better playability?
How did you raise the nut? I couldn't understand what you said and I need to raise the nut as well. Just bought one of these for my 10yr old son.
How does this Earth Mini compare to the Little Martin LX1 (solid spruce top)?
Does the Cort earth mini have an Engelmann spruce top? From what I've gathered the Open pore has a sitka and the 'natural' has the Engelmann. Does anyone know
Please do the Cort Ad Mini Mahogany.
I love your reviews.
Thanks man! You helped me a lot in my decision.
If I ever will be in singapore I will come in your store to buy a guitar!!

Swee Lee has this and the Epiphone Expedition, which is also a 3/4 Dread. Not sure if you have played it but if yes, which one would be a better choice? :)
I'm too sure about it but the cort mini is already a very good guitar and at an affordable price point
I want to buy one and put an lrbaggs pickup or something in it, do you think that would work? I know the mini matrons come with pickups and sound divine but I don't want to spend $1000 on a matron one. What do you think?
i don't know how to play guitar, just wondering if i can use this mini one to get started.. is it ok for junior like me?
Im a beginner looking for a small guitar. Was wondering if this is tuned to E or A, because I noticed that some smaller sized guitars are tuned to A. Thanks!
this is tuned to E...
The Guitar Spa Singapore thanks!
get them setup well and both will be equally good
the earth mini has a better clean sound than the baby taylor which sound like a yukulele : true?
Cool! Where can I get Cort acoustic in Singapore?
Hey what are the songs you are playing? Sounds great, and pretty much what I'd like to learn next, I want learn a bit more advanced accompaniment patterns, I sing.
dochmbi I have 8 tutorials of my songs on how to play them
Check it out on my channel . Enjoy and best
Hi! Just asking if there are any differences between the Cort Earth Mini and Cort Earth Mini OP? Thanks!
But they really need to be setup well to bring out the richness in the tone...suggest you FMI it...I have done so many upgrades on them
Sir can you pls make a review with Cort earth50 7/8 guitar ..and how is it compared to Martin Dreadnought Jr.. thnx thnx thnx..
Yes I will
forget washburn and martin ... this is definitely the best travel guitar by far !!
Hey awesome review! How would you compare this with the Cort AD Mini? Im on a budget crunch but wanna make sure I get something good!
Thanks
Amrit Ramnath you mean the adirondack one .. probably the same and this one will be open sounding since it’s Sitka
How much is that Sir? Notice us, pleaseeee.
Hey i watch ur both review of cort Ad mini and cort earth mini which one would prefer for better sound over the price...????
aakash patil it’s a small guitar and to me the normal Sitka would sound more responsive as the Adi TOP will be very stiff .. so takes a Long time to open up unless you have lots of patience.
aakash patil they are also very very very cheap
Going to get a new guitar. Which one do you think i should get. Yamaha Jr2 or Cort Earth mini?
Cort earth mini no doubt :)
Thanks
Yes you need to have it setup . This will optimized the tone and also enhanced the playability which will make playing easy
Do you think I better off getting my squire acoustic setup or go with a new guitar (and have them setup as well)?
Hey, I got my new Cort Earth Mini a few weeks ago. What modifications if any did you make? Would you put a pick up on it?
+pootietang88 I would if i need a pickup
-Comment: nice video, thanks for this!
Hey Jarvis, what gauge strings do you recommend for this guitar? Thinking of buying this Cort for someone who is starting to play guitar, and has relatively small hands. I want Elixirs so they stay alive a little longer but I'm not sure about the size, what would fit the best?
Thanks
+synectic Elixir is perfect 12-53 lights
can you have a review of cort ad mini mop sir?
Suena genial! muy buena guitarra
😂 Great to see you, Young Jarvis.
i’m
still young hahahha at heart
where to get one in sg?? and for how much
good! would this guitar would be good for a 6y old child to learn? i also hesitate with the tanglewood rt. Do you have tested that one also? thanks
+Clagratte yes its great
Clagratte My child prefere nylon string guitars instead of steel string guitars. For a six year old child a 1/2 size classic guitar would be the best choice.
Oh man! I just started recording my acoustic album and I realized that really need that guitar! Is there any electric version of that guitar?
how many guitars do you have ?
probably so...you can check with them
Yes you can its very affordable
Dam nice review👍
Sir, Any advice or comment on
Cort Earth 50 ,,
great but get it setup well coz most of the time the neck is not properly adjusted
can i switch the strings for left handed on this guitar?? cos i didn't found left handed model !!!
No you can't coz there will be intonation problems
The Guitar Spa Singapore thanks for the reply my friend :)
Good sound
I think its designed to be rough its an OP open pore
I bought this guitar this guitar yesterday and the dealer gave me a pair of Daddario EJ16 strings instead of EXP16 and told me that EJ16 was better sounding...
well coz its cheaper that's why...they sound better but die very fast on acidic hands
Ah, what if I change the strings to elixir PB light strings? would the sound be better in any way?
in your opinion, what's the cons of this guitar? planning to buy this
cons are not loud enough and bass is weak compared to a large guitar
I think you can make any guitar sound good!!!
Do you know some good guitars around €200- €300 ?
Get yamaha jr1 costs much less than cort mini and sound projections are the same
how bout having electronics in it. . . . ?
piezo pre amps maybe??
Hi Jarvis! I'm thinking of getting one of these, and I wish I could get it from you straight so you can get it setup for me, but I'm not in Singapore. :( So if I'm getting one, what are the list of setups should I include? :)
