Mr. Late Night, I hereby formally request on behalf of the Star Trek community that you at least watch even the first two episodes of Strange New Worlds before comtinuing to slander Paramount's handling of the franchise. That show has aired the best episodes since DS9, and speaking of that show, it manages to capture that episodic with serial arcs thing DS9 perfected in its later seasons. If you watch those two first episodes and conclude it's bad, then I, with the power vested in me, do grant you the ability to slander with the best of 'em. With that out of the way, keep up the good work!
Chief saying covanent on a world getting glassed is grounds to not make them mission clear, but Akerson literally making a dozen clones of his dead sister (which I'm assuming is still illegal) and sending them out everywhere is just like a normal Tuesday?

Dude what are you talking about? I haven't heard a single person that hated Kwan, now claiming they like her now because she's a ninja out of the blue for some reason. In fact I've heard quite the opposite about how cringe it is that the show writers thought that making Kwan an assassin would make us think she's cool. Only 8 year olds would think this kind of writing would cause the audience to become endeared with Kwan. This is how children think, not adult professional writers. It's embarrassing that they thought this would make us like her now as well as insulting to the fanbase for thinking this would work on us, like we're children as well.
There is no way I can enjoy this show because I've seen, read and played a much better story. There's Metallica and there's the tribute act. When a tribute act takes itself seriously we laugh _at_ them, not with them.
As soon as I'm ready to forgive the show and really get into it, they turn around and put out episode 3 and make me hate Master Chief and this show all over again.
This show was done this way by design... To kill another existing true hero... To Woke it to death. To make week men... Week leaders... I will stick to playing the games... So that I will not loose respect for the real Master Chief.
There are some gripes about ep 3, but I thought it was pretty solid. It did a really good job of building the quiet before the storm. We are going in to the fall of Reach with Silver Team in disarray and disbanded, Ackerson starting the Spartan III program, Halsey facing victims of the Spartan II program, the top brass knowingly leaving the Spartans and Marines to fight the Covenant alone, the whole Rubble storyline is ending (thankfully) and the characters being brought seemingly to Reach. It was great build up for the beginning of the invasion. What did MC do that bothered you?

I like it. I've accepted that it'll be different, and with that being said, I've really enjoyed Season 2 so far. I've even gone back to watch Season 1, and I have to say, I'm enjoying rewatching.

It's also the insane need to constantly push "THE MESSAGE" Gay couples, sad chief, race swapped keys, and always talking down to Halsey. The show is ass.
