A Tour de Force. Happy to say I saw it live in Port Townsend. Later that evening she performed in a small venue at the festival, calibrated her style to the smaller, more intimate audience. And she was just as amazing in that setting.
I just saw a tiny clip of Jazzmeia Horn in an Adam Neely video and now I'm an instant fan. Thanks for uploading this, I grew up in Victoria but have never been to Port Townsend.
Grandisimo concierto 5 grandes de la música,, la vocal genial que voz majistral, un prodigio de la interpretación del jazz de nuestro tiempo, impresionante el concierto de libro..
Jazzi Betty Carter is one of my favorites and from the way you sang tight she must be one of your favorites. When in Houston find CT (in session) he turned me on to you / He lifts you to high standards and we all see why.
She has a great technique but her timbre is a childish one. And she does her lessons as a diligent student (a bit laboriously). I did not get a kick as that from Sarah Vaughan. But I'm happy that jazz is still going on, not only hip-hop or some other funk trash.
Kinda reminds me of Betty Carter.
Seen this young lady on the Conecticut shore in Old Lyme she was fantastic

stop being old
Childish means playful, right? That's what art should be. So she's doing it right. :-)
