      @@jdog34505 Very much so.. at the end of the third season Jaleel had a very hard time with it. The episode where he comes to stay with the Winslow's his voice cracks the entire show it's hilarious. It is a shame his voice didn't stay as level as it did the first year or so (he sounded normal then,) but still iconic none the less.

      Dmanpoke 88 I was thinking the same thing about his doll I can't remember seeing either commercial in Canada. This goes to show I think Steve Urkel made Family matters survive 8 or 9 seasons

      @@Ronaldrr27 It was 9 seasons. The show ran from 1989 to 1998. For the first 8 seasons it aired on American Broadcasting Corporation (Or ABC for short) as part of their long since defunct TGIF line up (which also consisted of Full House, Perfect Strangers, Step By Step, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World) that aired on Friday nights on said channel until the late 1990's. For Family Matters' final season, it aired Columbia Broadcasting Services (CBS for short and no the network is not related to Columbia Pictures). Even then, they left the show on an open note in the series finale

      Almost every ‘90s pop culture touchstone had a cereal. Urkel, Batman, Robin Hood, Real Ghostbusters, Addams Family, Bill & Ted, Jurassic Park.

    Funny thing is that, this time, Laura (Kellie Williams) would have been impressed with Steve. Carl and Eddie would too, saying "Finally! Something that might not malfunction for once! This is actually really good, Steve! How'd you create this cereal?".

    Oh man I haven't seen this commercial in years. I was just thinking about this after watching the Urkel doll commercial from 91. I knew he had a cereal but I didn't remember the name of it until now. I never had Urkel-Os though but I've been Urkelized way before this came out.

      lol right, but this is simply corporate capitalism. if you have a hit TV show, product, whatever...you try to capitalize on it and sell any and everything with that brand on it. Even it's knockoff cereal lol. $$$ at the end of the day

    I remember this commercial Urkel Os the cereal they don’t make that anymore right!!!! Jaleel White became a TV icon as Steve Urkel from the shows run on Family Matters!!!!! Steve Urkel was everywhere Dolls, Lunchboxes,Board games, toys cereals the list goes on forever!!!!! It’s hard to believe that when you can’t play the same character on tv like you used to!!!!! Thanks for posting this video I love it!!!!!!

    Such a shame I never had it; I was only a baby when that came out in 1992. BTW Urkel O's came about before Lorimar Television was absorbed into Warner Bros. Television in 1993.

    Irate Gamer brought me here. Definitely cringey by today's standards, but still nostalgic. I don't think I've ever had this cereal, but I've seen people like "Irate Gamer" and "L.A. Beast" tackle this cereal, and it seems to have aged fine, surprisingly.
