Outstanding performance. I can see and hear how Mr. Mørk was influenced by Russian artistry, no doubt the greats including Rostropovich. Kudos to the Stavanger Symphony and Maestro Stenz for accompanying exceptionally well. And not to mention a great piece of music!

Mørk is easily the best living cellist today. Technically solid, but doesn't let it get in the way of truly emotional music making. It's a shame that so many of today's cellists want to be robotic copycats of Starker and his very technical compartmentalized school of thought. This is real holistic playing!
