After the heartbreaking loss that destroyed our Rose Bowl hopes back in 2011, the Michigan State Spartans lead us to a newly unforgettable season in 2013. Head coach Mark Dantonio constantly stated "You will be the ones" towards the team this year, foreshadowing their Rose Bowl appearance. It has become apparent that he was right. We are the ones.

Honestly, like many, that 2011 loss changed me. That's why this 2013 team means so much to so many people after 40 years of mediocrity, 40 years of being told we are always 2nd best athletically and academically. We're back. Go Green!!

Thomas Lettich Seriously, you think Drunk Sparty can win a natty? You guys won't get past the Rose Bowl because you don't have the tradition, the money, or the resources, or the talent to bring a championship home. I think Dantonios a great coach but he can't win a National Championship in East Lansing. Its simple.
Michigan on the other hand has the money, tradition, resources to win one, and with a new coach, we'll be back on track like the other 90 years of winning football we've had. No matter what coach we get all of the options are good. At worst we'll be a little better than you guys, at best we'll be next to Oregon and maybe Bama.

First of all and where should I start off, well Michigan State has went 13-1 last year which is MSU best football record in years under Dantonio and went to Pasadena, Cal to take on a very physical & strong Stanford team that ended up winning in a classic fashion 24-20 is by far one of MSU best wins for the football program ever and that's saying something isn't it? Shoot, even their middle line-backer senior starter Max Bullough was suspended for the Rose Bowl for doing something he shouldn't been doing but MSU still manage to get the job done to win in the Rose Bowl without their senior starter. Are you just assuming that Dantonio won't win national championship just because you can or you just don't want them to? You say Michigan State just isn't going to win a natty just because their Michigan State, since some people still to this day call them "Same Ole Spartans" Well guess what, that hasn't been said for the past few years since MSU football program is in a much better place than they were 8 years ago. Remember, MSU was in nowhere for football when John L Smith was fired. I didn't claim or say that MSU will win a national championship, did I? I said I'm hoping they do one of these days.
On the other hand with Michigan, yes it's obvious Michigan has had tons of success in their football program in their past years, but what have they done so far recently? Won against an average VT team in the Sugar Bowl while MSU beat a very good & strong Georgia team, that its defense was ranked 3rd best in the country that made a huge comeback and win in the Outback bowl 33-30 in triple OT. To still talk about it is irrelevant, and no that's not true. MSU does have the tradition for football, you just choose not to believe that.
On with their coaching search, right now Jim Harbaugh is weighing options rather he wants to stay & coach for San Francisco or take the HC job for Michigan.

That running into the punter call was a flop it shouldn't have been called. The pentalty was made to protect the punters from getting injured but Isaiah Lewis barley touched him. The punter couldn't have gotten hurt from that.

The OSU run on 4th down by Miller and the Stanford 4th down play were the epitome of stupid. MSU was really lucky to get those last two wins.
Stupid why? Because they didn't work? Thats lazy. OSU had rushed for over 270 total yards in that game. They would've been insane to not run the ball given how effective they had been on the ground. And to think that Stanford wouldn't try to pound the rock on 4th and inchs...well, maybe you didn't watch much football this past year....

And yes, Stanford was dumb to do the most obvious play when they'd been shut down in the middle for most of the game. The previous play was 3rd and 2 and they couldn't even pick it up then with a predictable run up the middle.
Yeah, getting 162 yards rushing is really effective. Please. Heck, Gaffney averaged 3.8 YPC AFTER A 47 YARD RUN! That's not effective, dumbass.

We had a streak of 36 str8 bowl appearances I believe. Has any other football program done that? Yeah, we haven't been all that since 2007(Still won a BCS bowl game) but don't ever believe your the better overall football program in the state .
