Thank you for the great and easy to follow tutorial! I tried to modify it a bit to achieve a burning paper effect, but I want to make this inner red glowing part black to imitate paper turn into ashes. So I don't need it to glow. I'm a super newbie to making materials and I can't figure out how to connect this part to BaseColor and yet keep my texture :(
i have some card dissolve fx like this. ruclips.net/video/y-QgnoAWVPI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5yB1m1Bxq_8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/IaAeW3MvZNU/видео.html
Instead of masking G (around 7:36 ), you can mask any other channel, which will be in another direction. For example, you can mask B to get it from bottom-top of the mesh. If you preview the mask node and tick the channels on and off, you can see the direction.

Oh this is freaking awesome. You should do more advanced material effects as well. There's truly not a ton of stuff like on RUclips.
Thank You For the Detail Video - learning so much from you guru

If it is a 2D sprite image in UE 5, how to achieve the dissolve effect?
