Rejection does hurt, all Rudy was trying to do is to save one kid yet the people kicks him out of town... I understand his loneness, trying to his place in the world.
As much as I loved the original, I legit felt bad this time around, mostly because you could see Rudy's emotions on him, how much being rejected despite having done nothing wrong hurts. And I mean bad as in oh shit why am I crying bad.
