Ad irelia is far more safe and in most situations is better, but to say that there are NO situations, OR EVEN THAT THE SITUATIONS ARE UNCOMMON in which you would want to use Ap irelia is absolutely absurd. In a decent chunk of situations it is absolutely better than Ad, but yea, still MOST of the situations you would want ad irelia... far from all though.
