Buddy Martin has been there, done that and has the t-shirt.
The famed & Martin portion of the legendary Sox & Martin duo has stepped up on the stage to tell one of his finest moments in the early 1960s when a cracked windshield was enough to get their car torn down in class eliminations at an AHRA event.
Hear the story in the words of a doorslammer drag racing icon when a cracked windshield from a towing incident was deemed a performance advantage.

I met Buddy Martin after his racing days, as he was getting in the used car business. I did business with him almost on a daily basis for a few years before finding out about him being the Martin, of Sox and Martin. That just shows you how humble of a Person he is. He is very smart and honest, very witty with humor, great head for business. Great Family Man. Watching this video took me back quite a few years. It has been 10+ years since I have last seen him, but I do think of him often.

The greatest racing team ever Sox and Martin. I saw them match race Bill Jacobs Kid Goat in Albany Ga. in the late 60's
Sox and Martin won. Great memories.

During the late 60’s I followed Sox & Martin to the point of buying a 1967 GTX. Then later a factory 383 GTS. I always thought I was Ronnie Sox when ever I raced. Having fun and living the dream. Love Buddy’s stories about real competition.

I've competed in Sports my whole life from Football to Firearms and i can tell you the higher up the ladder you get, the Bitchier the Competitors get. I used to Team Rope quite a bit in the 90s and we had a saying. " The only difference between a Team Roper and a Puppy is that a Puppy quits whining after about 6 weeks".

    And..?
What's the explanation for the re run?
I'm more confused now after having watched the video. I guess it's just me.
