I honestly do feel like Buster should’ve looked up the flamingos and recruited them for the show. They would have been great to use for Porsha’s part. Maybe he could’ve also talked to Crystal and see if he could convince him to let him make the flamingos a part of it. They could’ve gotten a major role in the movie if he did that. It’d be amazing if the flamingos return in Sing 3, especially if they have a major role. I think they’d have a lot of potential for that. At least they cameoed in the credits, though maybe that could foreshadow them returning in Sing 3.
It's called a Taiko show, and as an ensemble is referred to as a Kumi-Daiko. Very large drums are O-Daiko but these being double-sided are Nagado-Daiko specifically.
Been to a taiko drum festival and I can confirm this: there is a reason why those drums are normally played outdoors when doing a performance. You won’t hear jack squat when you’re that close indoors

I did like the flamingos rehearsal. However, that kind of show was probably good for a theater like the one Moon was working on. This man is a businessman way more professional in a bigger city, and that's why he has to be way harder on which shows he decides to accept.

Plus employing kids isn't exactly good business with labor laws. 0:40 - Magic acts might be what Vegas is known for, but using explosives is a health risk, and they're clearly hurt during the performance. 0:48 - Stage Show again. Especially with small performers means you're incredibly limited with your theater. 0:54 - Single song performance. There's nothing visually interesting in having the act be there. 1:00 - It's loud... but not much else. 1:14 - Too strange.... 1:24 - Ballet might have a long standing reputation with large venues, but the one they're doing is low-energy. It's not what he wants to associate with his brand. 1:33 - Similar to the 0:54 performance. A single singer, with some playful lights isn't enough. 1:40 - It's clear he actually considers this. However, while talented, their act had no cohesion between the set pieces.
